I trust much more someone who considers themselves ignorant in a subject than a "purist"....the record, from your review and the emotions you've captured, might appeal to me; I will definitely give it a listen. Congratulations once again.

Well, being an album primarily focused on creating a certain type of atmosphere (misty and hallucinatory, as I tried to describe), Horvitz's organ is aimed precisely at this purpose; it blends everything together and creates soundscapes where the good Bill plays with his guitar. Nevertheless, in a couple of tracks, Horvitz treats us to some excellent solos as well...

Cloud About Mercury is fantastic, I really like that album, so I shouldn't have any major issues appreciating Stiletto (going by what you tell me ;))...You could start your contemplation with this Fascination, jazz with a high dose of class, new and fresh.

Thanks for the tip, Francescobus, you never stop learning (and listening), I’ll look for that album. Oilà Contemplazione, are you also dealing with Shrieve?

Jake, thanks for stopping by; I’m keeping Stiletto but I haven’t decided to listen to it yet, although the names involved really intrigue me...anyway, how is it? @Francescobus: he played with a ton of people (there's a complete list on his site), but I don’t know these HSAS, are they by any chance the initials of some group? @Telespallabob and Terry:...fix it fix it

I was expecting this review... and it couldn't be any other way. One of the most beautiful albums of the year and an excellent review.
