I’ll add to all the comments: listen a bit to '90s rock (not just Hilary Duff...): there are Metallica, Guns N' Roses, etc. and if you go back a bit, you have Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, or Motörhead. Start to expand your cultural horizons a bit.

And then, kidkongo, on this site, as you well know, the Guns are hated and accused of being tacky and never having conveyed anything meaningful. Only artists like Pink Floyd (whom I love dearly), Black Sabbath, Nirvana, and The Who are revered. They are excellent artists just as their music was excellent, but who tells you that what you disdain about the Guns—sex, violence, misogyny, hatred, anger, and even being tacky—couldn't appeal to someone? It's not that you disdain them and can claim that just because they made a certain type of music, they were inferior to others. My anger isn't directed at Nirvana per se, but against those idiots who have made Kurt a god, just because the media has amplified his figure, like Che Guevara, for example, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, all greats of music but often misunderstood by people simply because they are mythologized by their death and by the media. They will indeed be remembered for their music, but surely their death will be remembered more. That disgusts me. That's why I get so mad: they disdain the Guns, but I'm sure that if one among Axl Rose or Slash had committed suicide, like those mentioned above, the Guns would have many, many more fans on this site.

But are you still alive, Townshend and Daltrey? Especially you, Roger, at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert in 1992 you were already 78 years old and couldn’t sing through entire "I want it all." And you, Townshend, aside from "behind blue eyes"... there’s not much to say. Go fuck yourselves, both of you, and listen to GUNS N' ROSES!!
