Damn, if Iha was a guitarist who was worth nothing, they wouldn't have recruited him for the APC.. Come on.. You can't say they sucked musically..

I don't know the album (but a five is a must), the band is not new to me. Did they do jazz? Praise to you, Robert Plant, for your divine vocality, praise to you, Jimmy Page, for your hands and your six strings (sometimes twelve), praise to you, the late John Bonham, for the legacy you left to billions of drummers (you were the best..), praise to you, John Paul Jones, for your bass and your keyboards that beautifully blended everything together. Damn, I get emotional when I think about what these four characters were able to accomplish. IMMENSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Psycho, Kyuss came long, long before the Smashing, just to be clear, damn it!! You can't compare the importance that Garcia and his band had in relation to Corgan and the gang. And if we look at the music, there's really no contest. The desert shamans win hands down. Anyway, I would never dream of trashing a band like the Pumpkins, regardless of whether I like their leader or not. They have done great things and produced great albums, and I respect them; even the Rolling Stones don’t drive me crazy, for that matter (Jagger's voice has always left me indifferent), but the value of the band is untouchable, and I don’t switch the station if the radio happens to play a track from the Rolling Stones (or from the Pumpkins, for that matter). They are pillars of rock. It’s just a matter of taste, and honestly, I don’t gain anything by saying that the Smashing Pumpkins are crap, and that's that. It’s not true, and it can't be said. That would be an immature judgment. Let’s at least recognize the value of their compositions. The Pumpkins were original and had good musical evolution and good ideas (at least up to Mellon Collie). A double album is always a kind of suicide for an artist who isn't of the caliber of sacred monsters like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, or Pink Floyd, etc. And regardless of the outcome (some tracks were brilliant, but others were really heavy and filler..), they had a lot of courage to release it. Perhaps their downfall began here. The album after Mellon Collie had too great a responsibility, something they couldn’t handle, and the ideas were perhaps already exhausted.

Thank you, it's the pure and sacred truth. The Pumpkins were definitely noteworthy musicians (especially the drummer). They were one of the most important bands of the '90s, no doubt about it. They were miles ahead of many, Corgan was a good songwriter, but not suited to be the leader. And he has a truly annoying voice.

Billy Corgan has always annoyed the hell out of me. Beyond his undeniable compositional creativity in the early albums, I just can't stand his voice; being a singer myself, that nasal quality and his childlike lilt drive me crazy. I don't understand how someone with such a horrible voice could achieve so much success. Then again, it's truly horrifying; only Courtney Love could have possibly been involved with him! Let's just say that after Mellon Collie (which was really something excessively grandiose, directly proportional to the leader's megalomania), there was absolute darkness. Thank goodness Iha went to play with APC.
Ian Gillan Greatest Hits: Live In Concert

I've never heard the album, but I trust it. And how can you not trust one of the greatest singers of all time? Gillan was remarkable, and he continues to be so even now, though he no longer has the range he once did (and I get it, damn, he's sixty-two and still performing!). Over forty albums to his name... Just think about it! One of the very best. "Child in Time" will forever remain in the history of rock as one of the most beautiful and emotional pieces. Gillan reaches for the stars. The duel with Blackmore in "Strange Kind of Woman" sends chills down your spine for what he manages to do. Immense. Not much else to say...

"They even resorted to insults, even within this site, against J Ax. Claiming that his partner DJ Jad left him because he could no longer stand the 'poppettaro' genre that the group was taking on. What nonsense. Alright: 1st Explain to me what role DJ Jad had in the last works of Articolo 31, given that the scratches in the first two albums were predominant and confirmed him as one of the best DJs around, but then? 2nd Why do you think DJ Jad left just when sales were starting to pick up and money was flowing into their pockets?? Nonsense?? Have you seen J Ax in what state he is?? He’s a parody of himself, he makes you laugh to avoid crying.. Tomorrow stop listening to this album, please.. And stop writing nonsense, Articolo 31 have nothing to do with punk (what kind of punk are you listening to: Green Day??) it's an insult to punk bands. Heavy metal?? Heavy metal???????? Set yourself on fire along with Pino Scotto.."

And I’ll give you back 5 for the titles of your songs (closes my school, I’m not doing it anymore, girls at the sea). Better, much better than a cross between Cesare Cremonini, Ramazzotti, D'Alessio, Bennato, and the Righeira. Well done! A curiosity: are you really like that?
