Alright Sick boy, I overreacted, I admit it.. I’m someone who thinks like you, especially about racists, annoying people, cannabis and.. Let’s go grab a beer.. But you really pissed me off, no doubt about it.. You’re right that the appreciation of music is subjective and we shouldn’t use terms like "the best album" or other nonsense.. I listen to thousands of bands and I know a thing or two about music, but the album I appreciate the most is and will always be this one, there’s no particular reason for it, it’s not related to the musicians, but to what they managed to express. I apologize for my words, peace..

I'm amazed by your culture; I usually never look at profiles, but I had to check yours to see what kind of fool was behind these enlightening words. But did you really give yourself that nice tattoo on your little hand with a needle and ink to show that you're tough and listen to Mr. Osbourne and Black Sabbath? Do you have a neuron in your head playing Intellivision with Ozzy's? My God, you're scary.. But do you still eat bats alive like your idol? "Ozzy," please, you're still in time to get out of the way so you don't influence this world with your ignorance.. God (but please..), Satriani, Petrucci, Patorius.. At least let poor Jaco rest in peace.. Keep rolling your joints, kid.. But can you at least roll them yourself? Or do you need help? Your monstrous ignorance is in the words of your profile, in what you said in your last comment regarding old people, children, and the ignorant.. You don't look old to me, you have the traits of an intelligent person, you're just a kid, and also monstrously ignorant, so stop being a pain and straighten up, will you?

Why is there people who think Fester has a nice voice? You see, one can understand a person's gargantuan ego by the fact that good ol' Corgan, besides wanting to stubbornly claim authorship of much, if not all, of the Pumpkins’ repertoire, one morning woke up and, while frothing from the start of his neck to the end of his head, ready with a Mach 3 in hand to evict every trace of unnecessary hair from his nosferatu-like face, must have hummed something, I think "Born to be alive," and told himself (with frothy ears, too): "Damn, I really do have a nice voice.. Why should I bother looking for a singer for my Pumpkins? Here I am, and by the way, I’m quite the handsome guy (I crushed Courtney; she doesn't just give it away to anyone..). And then he would overshadow me, I'd be relegated to the back of the stage with my little guitar, and the girls wouldn’t even look my way, so, considering I have one of the most beautiful voices ever heard, it seems only fair to sacrifice myself to hordes of crazed fans and put my face out there as the frontman," and he self-nominated to sing every note for the Smashing. Now, considering the music churned out by this idiot wasn’t even bad, and considering the musicians who had to endure this immense prick were remarkable, especially the drummer, with another voice they could have truly created masterpieces and not just half-baked efforts..

An overly pretentious album, too long and with too many unnecessary tracks. From a comment on Use Your Illusion: if they had condensed the best songs into just one album, it would have been definitely better... And then Billy Corgan's voice is a torturous wail. Now that's how you howl, unlike Chris Cornell in Temple of the Dog (what crap I have to listen to...). A masterpiece dismissed too quickly anyway...
Faith No More King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime

Great album, nice review, the genius of Faith No More is all here, where practically every genre blends together... (It reminds me of good times when we covered The Gentle Art and Digging the Grave...). They could do anything... Great General Patton, unmatched, not much else to say. The only flaw is "Take this bottle." But you deserve a five for how you associate the songs with moods. Well done.

So sickboy, let me explain why it should be considered "one of the greatest albums of all time," beyond personal opinions. On guitars, there weren't two amateurs but Gossard and McCready, two of the best guitarists around at that time (just listen to how they intertwine the guitars in Reach Down), on bass Ament... On drums Matt Cameron (and sorry if that’s not enough..), two voices like Chris Cornell, who is outstanding in this album, no bullshit.. and Eddie Vedder (sorry again if that’s not enough..). So, given the caliber of the musicians involved and the album that came out of it, you can only say it's "one of the greatest albums in the history of rock."

@Zanna: Above is a must-have, absolutely. If it weren't for my nickname giving away my admiration for this man's vocal cords (in Soundgarden...........), I’d say it’s the best album to come out of the Seattle scene, especially because the good Layne delivers an immense performance. "Wake up" gives me chills... But the rest is no joke either.
