Kennedy is a great singer, perhaps the best on the scene today. The others have only now realized they can play their instruments; Tremonti has gone crazy. They have never been clones of anyone; from the very first album, they demonstrated their distance from Creed or any other band. And if they aren't innovative, who the hell cares... Long live people who play like this. P.S.: I agree on Cornell, he's been on the decline for quite a while now; live, he’s almost a pity. (Striking the Jesus Christ pose at the end of concerts is a bit too pretentious, Chris; you can’t keep it up anymore…)

The Negramaro are a great rock band: first shit.
Yes, because Giuliano has a big voice, which, however (but this isn't a criticism for its own sake), doesn’t come across as well live in some tracks, like "Nuvole e lenzuola" from the previous album, due to the excess emphasis that the leader of the Salento band puts into their live performances: second shit.
But if you think about it, the review is bullshit.
Big voice? What big voice?!? Who is he: Barry White? David Sylvian? Dave Gahan? What are you saying? We're all crazy here. The voice of this idiot who tries to be alternative with phrases he doesn’t even understand is one of the most annoying things the human ear can perceive. Those unnecessary jumps in tone, like I’ve got two registers and I emphasize them until I annoy the hell out of whoever's listening, are irritating after just five minutes, if not less. Rock band? And a great one? Come on, come on, come on... Set yourself on fire!

We get it, you like SOAD.. But the review is awful and unnecessary.. I preferred the first one, after Toxicity they should have evolved a bit.. They’ve become repetitive. When will Steal This Album!, Mezmerize, and Hypnotize come?

Great job, excellent review. Tremonti seems to have woken up and realized he can play the guitar as he should, and the other two also seem to have fully embraced their instruments. Kennedy is a monster (in the studio, live I don’t know..). I wore out the first album from listening to and singing it so much; surely, after reading such a glowing review, I'll buy the second one as well. But I had no doubts. Chris Cornell, when he still had his vocal cords, soared over four octaves, Ultramegaok docet.. But Kennedy’s tone is warmer and more exciting, and his high notes are more technical and controlled. I don’t know who I prefer between the two..

"For me, this is a great songwriter, and if I'm not mistaken, also a bassist with balls this big." He is a bassist with balls this big, you're not mistaken.. Besides being a great songwriter.

"A very loved and very criticized group (perhaps) for their last two albums with which they became quite commercial...". Do you find Hypnotize and Mezmerize commercial?
@Gallagher87: <<Korn didn't launch nu metal, listen to Korn's early albums and then tell me if they are nu metal, if anything, Limp Bizkit and partly POD and Linkin Park created it... regards!>>. Perhaps it’s you who hasn’t listened well to Korn's early albums, because they are the ones who laid the groundwork for the Nu Metal movement. I'm not saying this, but the whole world is. "KoRn" revolutionized the metal universe with new sounds, a new way of singing, it was a bolt from the blue, and from that album the whole Nu Metal movement was born. I've never seen a more useless group than POD. They didn’t invent anything at all, nor did Linkin Park, for that matter, or Limp Bizkit (Fred Durst went to cry at Jonathan Davis's house with his little cassette begging him to produce the album...). It would be like saying they came before Faith No More.
Great album by the System, the best in my opinion. Then they repeated themselves a bit too much, becoming, in the long run, annoying, as someone mentioned.
Serj Tankian's voice would be great if it had the same intensity and power live as well.

"One vigorously denies the flashes of contemporary celebrity and doesn't chase the futile 'bang' of a useless solo career like Cornell." Holy words. I can only agree wholeheartedly despite my nickname. Excellent review, dear black dog friend. Eddie Vedder is perhaps the most consistent character (still alive), alongside Mark Lanegan, in the history of Seattle music.
