Stoney is partly right: the noise-making Patton is astonishing at first listen, but becomes unbearable over time; however, I don't think he does it for popularity or anything else. Patton is an experimenter I deeply admire; everything is a source of inspiration for him. He’s like a child; when he walks into a record store, he always hopes to find something that can amaze him, just like a child in a toy store. I think he doesn’t know what else to do to experiment anymore except for various noises and vocal embellishments. Stratos also embarked on that path with his acapella albums, and Patton is a great admirer of that. Kudos to whoever mentioned the great DeLeo, the best (living) singer we have in Italy.

THE UNFORGIVEN III? Here we end up like the last Rocky Balboa. Americans never throw in the towel; when the product is hot, they pound you endlessly until you’re dead. One day, Rocky will be fighting in a nursing home in his wheelchair for a bit of denture pasta and some candy and nougat under the table, with Metallica, also guests, providing the soundtrack… Damn megalomaniacs… But at the MotoGP, do they only sing the national anthem in America at Laguna Seca before the race? As always, the Down are incredible. Phil Anselmo is not a man; he is a living legend!

The reviews on Metallica are a blast, they crack me up. Always the usual comparisons, it feels like being at the bar on a Monday after the championship: Slayer are better, Hanneman and King kick Hammett's ass, Dave Lombardo kicks Lars's ass, Mustaine is worth 100,000 times Hetfield, James's stage presence is 100,000 times better than Mustaine's, that whiny old maid, they’re just sellouts, they’re worth nothing live, but live they're still the best and kick ass to many, Hetfield is God. I crack up laughing every time. Lars Ulrich, even the tombstones in almost every cemetery in Italy know it, is not a great drummer, actually.. Let’s say that back in the day he was known for his raw and fast playing, he kept time well, but in terms of technique, he can’t be compared to King Dave Lombardo. Dave is a war machine, a wild and uncontrollable spark, let’s not kid around. Plus, they are two totally different things. Hearing Lombardo is like hearing the best Lars fast-forwarded at 8X! King and Hanneman are hyper-technical (only Malmsteen makes them look bad), two sacred monsters, you can’t compare them to Hetfield and Hammett. I’ve never liked Mustaine, but when it comes to technique, he’s right up there, vocally (even though I prefer Hetfield's full tone) and on guitar, in fact, two prima donnas in the same show can’t exist, cohabitation is impossible. Just think if instead of Dave it had been Hetfield who left, and if Cliff Burton hadn't died.. Who knows what would have come out with Mustaine as the leader of Metallica? What do you think? Anyway, it’s hard to speak ill of Metallica, considering that even as slightly older gentlemen, they still manage to deliver live performances worthy of praise, and surely those who say that for many (not for everyone, for heaven's sake, you know how many are better than them live? There are probably a billion bands in the world) still kick ass today are right. By now they don't mean anything to me anymore, but even if they wipe their ass with it, they have all my respect. They were one of the greatest Thrash Metal Bands on the planet and have influenced millions of other bands. They don’t seem like a bunch of crap or silly little things to me, do they? The review is very nice..

What do you want me to say, dear N.I.B.II.O? I like shit, especially when seasoned with extra virgin olive oil and a couple of drops of balsamic vinegar from Modena.. What can you do, it's a matter of tastes amigo.. As soon as I finished the review, I wondered: will the magical N.I.B.II.O CAST HIS GAZE HERE AND ILLUMINATE ME WITH A COMMENT WORTHY OF THE PROSE OF DOLCE STIL NOVO? .........AND YOU DID, (SIGH..a little tear) AND YOU WERE THE VERY FIRST! AND WITH SUCH ENTHUSIASM AND AGGRESSION! Thank you, dear, I’m touched..

There's only one way to define you: YOU'RE A GENIUS! And here I was cracking my brain thinking: "Grunge, grunge, what the hell is this grunge...". Thank you. Now I can say that even Pantera with Cowboys From Hell, in their own way, were grunge, and even Korn with their first album were grunge! But you're just too great! Was even Pino Scotto grunge with Vanadium? What about Gigggi d'Alessio and Tatangelo? After all, they came together for a project like Mad Season, right? And what do we say about Tiziano Ferro? Were Al Bano and Romina grunge? And the Ricchi e Poveri? I see the Cugini di Campagna more on the '70s Hard Rock side, though... And Celentano? He was the grungiest of them all. Help, there are people out there thinking... Doubt, people, doubt... The album you reviewed doesn't deserve such a crummy review, as it's perhaps the only noteworthy album that Bellamy and the gang have made. But why didn't you fall in love with liscio instead of Nirvana and Alice in Chains?
