Ok, ok, don’t get mad, Mercury was the best singer of all time. And I didn’t say he sucked anyway. He was phenomenal live, and Brian May is second only to Jimi Hendrix. It’s just that maybe between him and, for example, Ian Gillan, I prefer Gillan’s voice 100,000 times. It’s a matter of taste. For me, Mercury never really did much, that’s all.

Anyway, it will all end when they manage to arrest Berlusconi, which means never. Sleep soundly.

@STONEY: it's the same, exact thing I think and will think until I'm a damn old man. You're not being objective, it's just how it is.. @Nevskji: look, to self-flagellate today I re-listened to Superunknown and a tear rolled down spontaneously. The pinnacle of a band's evolution, how much stuff beautifully fused and interlocked together. So many ideas.. What an album! Then I took a look at the lyrics, I already knew that most of the lyrics and music were by Cornell, but I read them again to remind myself of what he could have done solo too. I prefer to remember him like this..

The Queen died in 1991. That's it. It's not like Michoos is entirely wrong... Mercury had a beautiful voice, powerful, with a nice timbre, but not a very wide range. A lot of the stuff that's been masked in the studio he could only dream of performing live. There were many others who were much more advanced vocally. I've never understood all this veneration. I listened to Queen from age 16 to 18, but they bored me even then. Today, I can't even imagine putting on one of their records, let alone actually listening to it. It's a matter of taste. But for me, they remain a decent rhythm section, with a good guitarist, although many others are way ahead, and a good voice. I don't see anything so exceptional about them.
