Tricarico Giglio

It's a very different album from the first two... much more "serious" in terms of arrangements, which were extremely pop in the first two. Personally, being in love with the first Tricarico, I was a bit taken aback on the first listen, especially due to the obvious Battisti and Celentano influences (il mio amico è molto bella, ma è al limite del plagio), which were not present in the earlier albums... but after a few listens, I can only say that it's a really beautiful album. I believe he'll make a big leap with this one (part of me feels a bit sad; selfishly, I liked being almost the only one to know him).

I don't know the album in question, but I would point out that it's hard to judge the quality of a band based on a mediocre recording. Even the greatest, if recorded badly, sounds terrible.

Yes, I also like Numb by Tiziano Ferro! :D I’ve always found bands like them useless, a little group just like a thousand others playing in basements, that for some inexplicable reason, instead of staying confined in the basement (as would be right), ends up on MTV. Moreover, if their English songs are just boring, their Italian ones are also ridiculous (they sound like a slightly angrier version of Articolo 31).

Seven seas, in this album, is instrumental.. precisely there's only the piano introduction. The complete version, if I'm not mistaken, is on the second album.

Given that I have not seen or read anything by this remarkable contemporary author, it seems to me that the world of today's youth, in general, is truly "degraded, shabby, devoid of ideas, values, and even feelings"... just take a stroll in any nightclub. And perhaps this is why this crap is so successful, feeding, and justifying, a vicious circle of squalor and degradation that will probably continue for a long time.

It’s probably true that it’s the most confusing film (deliberately, I suppose) by Moretti, but there are some beautiful things, and the ending is unsettling.

But how bad is it, in 1971, with Jim's corpse still warm, to make an album and call it Other Voices??

Tom's song is a gem.. too bad that nothing else on the album is at the same level. There's something good in the second half, but the real issue is the singer, who has a great voice when he sings normally, but when he "talks" off tempo with that affected voice in the style of SOAD or something like that, it becomes annoying and unbearable. What a pity.

Look, saying "also interpreted by Hendrix" is more than correct, considering that the song isn't even by Hendrix, even though it was him who brought it to success. The album is the worst of Battiato's (or, if you prefer, the least beautiful, since despite being inferior to the others, I can't really define it as ugly).
