Honestly, I don't see what's so genius about playing a chord for 10 minutes... or making some random noise with synthesizers... sure, no one had done it back then, but that doesn't make it any less boring...

I'm reading Scaruffi's entry on the Beatles... in my opinion, his dad was beating him with a belt to the tune of She loves you :D And then everyone talks about him as if he's a serious critic... it's really true that the world is full of idiots.

Honestly, I have never understood all the criticism of this album; it's just a great hard rock album. It's not exactly a metal record, but it's also not a commercial one. The black album was much more so... it was the polished metal for the masses, whereas this is a straightforward rock album, and I've always liked it personally.

Come on, there are definitely good things... the chorus of Pochi istanti, for example, when Manuel seems to bring back the voice of his early days, right when he sings "ioo sono senza voceee", or Musa di nessuno, even though it doesn't make sense to have a ballad like that last 2 minutes... with an extra 2 minutes it would have been a masterpiece. Perhaps the biggest flaw of the work is that it's quite inconsistent, it's hard to appreciate it as an album in its entirety.

Ugh, I think Issardegna will never come :( He’s been my idol since 2002... although I don’t know if this sudden popularity will do him much good artistically. Anyway, Giglio is a great album, even though the self-titled one was superior. Live, he’s amazing, maybe precisely because he goes off-key and messes up the lyrics. P.S. on YouTube, if you search by upload date, there are some videos of one of his concerts :)

"He knows all too well what people expect from him now." With this phrase, you earn a nice one =) I haven't listened to the album; it will certainly be half a trash, but unexpectedly the single is not bad at all. It has that sense of despair and fatigue that gives it a certain strength.
