In the meantime, we're here messing around for nothing while they're taking bombs to the head in Beirut...

And then, I repeat, if you want to talk politics with me, please do it privately. You keep claiming that you don't give a damn about what I say, but you've been poking at me for two days. As I've told you before, make up your mind.

Since you’re so touchy, Vabbè (and I didn’t even mention your name), I’ll tell you where you’re wrong: regarding the ad personam laws, I invite you to educate yourself about the previous government. Shall we talk about (just one example) the Gasparri law? A law designed so that Mediaset would have (and still has, I know people who work at Mediaset and I have direct testimonies) astonishing advertising revenues. As for the left proposing amnesties: bring me evidence of what you’re saying. I have only ever heard of amnesty on the left concerning Sofri. Regarding Berlusconi not being convicted: for many crimes, Berlusconi has been granted statute of limitations, which does not mean acquittal. It’s like saying that Andreotti is innocent, only if you read the ruling carefully, it says that before 1980, his connections with the mafia are proven. Too bad that crime has fallen under the statute of limitations. Bring me proof and documents supporting your claims, and I will tell you that you are right. Do I have to do it all by myself? Let’s all reflect together, dear Vabbè...

I find it quite concerning and sad to see people tearing each other apart over political reasons while discussing politics at the lowest levels. If you want to insult each other, be more honest: insult your mothers, "materazzizzatevi" all of you. Many of you are talking, from both sides, about things you don't really know, relying on clichés and few facts. And calm down a bit; if you have tensions to release, do it in another way. What’s all this bitterness about? We’re talking about "patriotism," about a world cup that unites, with so many nice clichés, and then we tear each other apart? I really don’t get the sense of all this...

I believe this is a problem with almost all anthems, having been composed in historical periods quite distant from ours. La Gialappa on Sky showed the lyrics of all anthems and they are more or less all ridiculous. A discussion could be opened regarding the music; for example, I really like the Japanese one...

I've never claimed to be anti-Italian. Just because someone believes that Zidane is forgivable doesn't mean they're anti-Italian, let's not exaggerate...

It has its advantages, dear Vabbè. The first of which is not having to write what’s in the little picture every time you want to make a comment... ;)

Platini celebrated at Heysel after scoring the penalty, and that’s all I need. I do not agree with labeling Zidane’s act as "violent." Stupid, unsporting, yes, that I can accept. But violence (in football, that is) is something else: it’s throwing elbows at an opponent, smashing their face and then complaining to the referee; it’s having a career behind you filled with chop-blockers and thugs (let's remember how Materazzi left Cirillo). Counting Zidane’s six red cards in his career (which I consider trivial) and his three headbutts seems ridiculous, especially if we are defending someone like Materazzi. I'm not defending Zidane; he's a foolish champion, but if Zidane is violent, then Materazzi should be arrested for conspiracy. Of course, I mention Materazzi because he’s involved in this story. If it were someone else, like Cannavaro, it would be a different matter. Cannavaro has a history of fairness that many can only dream of... Patriotism has nothing to do with it; if Materazzi were from another nation, I would have said the same thing. I just regret that thanks to that guy, Italy won the cup...

Ahaha, that's true as well. But to complete the foolishness, let's go with "Italia" by Mino Reitano! :)

Great response, Goffredo. I agree. However, it is also true that Italy's victory will have effects on GDP, so something will change for us, even if it's little on an individual level...
