We should do like the Ireland rugby team. They have the national anthem and the team's anthem...

Maybe I understood what you mean, Iside... ;) Besides, it’s far from my intention to "trap" anyone. I just want to talk calmly with people, which is quite difficult in here... But never mind. Back to work then...

Rra brackets, Well, you still have to answer my question about cooperatives, that is, if cooperatives are really as "advantageous" as they say, then why aren’t Mediaset or Fiat or large companies cooperatives? Then you come to tell me that I evade answers. Ah, Well: honestly, I don’t give a damn about your answer, it was just to point out how well you talk but how badly you act.
On Cuba: I agree with you, Iside, but under Castro, Cubans have only been slightly better off than before, and my fear is that, once he’s gone, Cuba will become an American state. For me, it’s not enough to live in a world where we settle for the lesser evil. This is also a discussion that should be addressed elsewhere...

You said "Linus, you're not well," repeating my name twice. From what was I supposed to deduce that you were upset with Vabbè? ;)

We have reached such a shocking lack of topics that Vabbè (who is already short on topics) comes out with “death will come to get you even if you’re not ready,” brightening our day from the very morning. Please, Mettallaro: tell him who your idols are, otherwise he’ll latch onto you like a tick and you won’t be able to shake him off. Make him happy, he’s starving for knowledge, you can tell. Actually, don’t tell him, because they won’t be to his liking anyway, and you’ll have to endure yet another dialectical mortification filled with “communist,” “idiot,” “asshole,” and so on...

Ehm, Iside... Maybe you missed something because I agree with you. I know very well that the news doesn’t tell me a damn thing; in fact, I look for the information myself. It's just that, I still don't understand why Cuba comes up every time, when I’ve already stated that Castro annoys me just as much as any other son of a bitch in the world. Unfortunately, dear Iside, there's no need to go to Latin America to see misery; it’s much closer to us than you might think. You come to tell me these things when I’ve argued here that, in my opinion, America (both South America and the United States) is in bad shape in terms of poverty; that between whites and Hispanics in America, there’s a climate in which, if the latter were to arm themselves, a civil war would break out. But then "unmasked" what? What are you talking about? If you don't read what I write, who are you getting upset with? Is it possible that here we can't have a civil discussion without being mocked or insulted? Do you behave like this in life or do you suffer from split personalities? Or do you vent your frustrations (more likely) here because you know, after all, that you're anonymous? I keep trying to talk about football (because that was the purpose of the review, after all) and you talk to me about Mexicans and Cubans... What’s that got to do with anything? Why? Are you schizophrenic? I might be unwell (and I admit it), but there's someone here who has serious problems...

Well, today I heard a ton of sensational statements. And attempts to steer the conversation back to politics, too. Then these terms... "Ours," "yours." But "we" and "you" who? Why all these baseless sentences about others? I don’t understand, but if 6% of Italians couldn’t care less about having won the World Cup, why should it be relevant? Am I, or others, taking away the joy from the other 94%? Who gives a damn about that? Let them rejoice, but I would also like to be free to say I couldn’t care less about this World Cup, without being labeled as a pain in the ass, if not unpatriotic. And football, damn...

So, I've said multiple times that in my opinion, Zidane's gesture is not "violence." If Zidane is a thug, what is Materazzi? A serial killer, at the very least. Let’s put it this way: I come to your house and start heavily insulting your mother, your sister, and so on? Within a quarter of an hour, wouldn't you come down to beat me up? It's not the act itself, but having done it in his position and in a World Cup final. That's the real nonsense. We can't talk about Zidane as a "thug" in front of Materazzi; it just doesn't hold... There's a nice video on YouTube that contains the "best" fouls of Materazzi, watch it and then let's talk about "thuggery"...

If we or the French or anyone else in the world are seen in a certain way, there's a reason behind it. If we are perceived as mobsters, for example, it's because history tells us that, by emigrating, we also exported the mafia. Just as the French are nationalists due to their colonial history. However, I wouldn't generalize. If Zidane headbutted someone, it doesn't mean that all French people are pieces of shit, just as not all Italians are violent because Materazzi is a butcher. I believe Zidane was right to apologize, and this earns him back a small fraction of the points lost with the headbutt. However, I doubt that when he says Materazzi heavily insulted him, he is talking nonsense. What interest could he have? At most, they might penalize Materazzi with a fine, but I strongly doubt that the final result of the match can be brought into question, and especially that Zidane said what he said with that purpose. I also doubt that Materazzi can be penalized: what evidence can you bring? It's one person's word against the other's... I don't know, I think we are giving too much importance to this thing.

Today I'm having trouble with Italian... :-/ Anyway, Geenoo, honestly I prefer to reflect on more important things... I care little about having won the cup, let alone if they take it away... But in these cases, I think it's normal to open an investigation, let's wait before jumping to conclusions...
