because: what would it be according to you? dedicating yourself to long-winded and self-serving pieces? showing off how good you are with the guitar so that people can say "ooooooohhhh, how good you are!"? for me, music is above all fun. this doesn’t mean I take it lightly, but that I need it to cheer me up, to move me. I don’t want to become a critic like Scaruffi, one who stands in front of the stereo and says "ah, this piece features a Hammond riff reminiscent of something by Lord of Deep Purple. it’s a nice piece, but it’s too technically simple." get it? :D

Thanks for the reply, Fidia. I don't know, I used to kinda like them (especially this album), but then I started listening to other music and I realized that... well, to use a litote, they're not exactly the best. But if you like them, great, I just can't accept comments like "don't listen to any of those ignorant people who don't understand music or who think 'music' means 'Nirvana'." Anyway, music can't just be about technique; it also needs to entertain (otherwise it loses its purpose).

In short: useless review. I’ve already said everything about the album in the previous review. I officially name you a human case.

I'm not doing this to kiss up to you, Joe (after I "trashed" your review on the Genesis), but I really like this review! I was very pleased with the rating! Finally, an objective fan! I love Floyd a lot too, but this one deserves only a 3. We need to be fair with the ratings, acknowledging the missteps of our favorites. Giving a 5 to this album is like when the super-mega-fans of Queen say that Hot Space deserves a 4! Anyway, well done Joe.
