No, are you serious? In my opinion, you have too absolute a perspective on music, like "what I hear is masterpieces, the rest is crap." The new wave had people like Patti Smith, Talking Heads, Television, Devo, Siouxsie Sioux, The Cure, Bauhaus, Japan, Echo and the Bunnymen, etc. Tell me that's not a lot! For me, Battisti's greatest works are Il mio Canto libero and Il nostro caro angelo. Before and after these two albums, it was so-so (but deep down, his early songs, simple and unpretentious, were quite enjoyable to listen to). The review was a complete nonsense.
