a movie that delighted me on Sunday mornings when I was 8 or 9 years old. I think I’ve seen it a hundred times since they always aired it. great review
Pier Paolo Pasolini Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma

read all of his books (including Petrolio, which would have been his masterpiece if he had completed it)!
Alfred Hitchcock Psycho

check out Il Caso Pardine by Hitch: far from a "minor" film.
Pier Paolo Pasolini Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma

Pasolini: my favorite writer, and also sociologist (in his case, it fits), excellent director: Uccellacci e Uccellini when I saw it for the first time (at 12 years old) left me almost speechless: unique.
Ettore Scola C'eravamo tanto amati

Generational films are my weak spot; there's nothing I can do about it. When I say generational, I don't mean Notte prima degli esami, but rather American Graffiti, Marrakech Express, or this beautiful film by Scola. There's a sadness in some moments...

The Italian noir I prefer is "I milanesi ammazzano al sabato," by Duccio Tessari, also based on the homonymous novel by Scerbanenco (read "Traditori di tutti," it’s worth it). About the film: beautiful. Moschin is a very talented actor, and the atmosphere is perfect.
Franco Battiato Il Vuoto

I want to feel it, even though the samples of this record that I have listened to so far do not convince me very much.
