the suite is fantastic, but the rest isn't exactly exciting. I prefer other works by Rush, but it made me want to listen to it again.

I have always been a supporter of the Catartica party. After this, there’s a steep decline, and now they seem only good for MTV.

I only have their first album, but I haven't listened to it in years. I remember it disappointed me quite a bit because I was expecting something more blatantly psychedelic à la 60's.

Vincebus is absolutely immense. The first stone of stoner (and not just that) was laid in Summertime Blues and Doctor Please.

Forward troubles Illinois, lock the front door, oh boy! Look at all the happy creatures dancing on the lawn. Bother me tomorrow, today, I'll buy no sorrows. Dooo, dooo, dooo, Lookin' out my back door

uhuhuh! I really like these guys: a fantastic live performance just for their loudness. Paranoid is proto-stoner, Into The Sun is simply amazing, and then there's T.N.U.C.... They'd deserve a 5 just for the drummer's hairstyle. Another album of theirs that you absolutely need to get is the first one, On Time, with the Cream-like cover.

In my opinion, you’re right to define it as a very "romantic" album. Sometimes it still reflects their recent glam/dance past, but in some tracks (I’m thinking of Taking Island In Africa) you can glimpse the ambient/ethnic twists of that masterpiece, Tin Drum. The cherry on top: Nightporter.
