For those who have at least a basic understanding of black metal and the discography of Mayhem, the first part of the review is enough to realize that the author of this piece is of an abysmal ignorance. For everyone else: just listen to Grand Declaration of War to understand how much Mayhem have "commercialized" since '97 onwards.

The story of the ice skating incident seems to be false: it appears he had been beaten at school, hence the ruptured spleen. The historical significance is unquestionable, and so is the quality. But you could have spared us the last sentence; it's just a load of nonsense.
