Yes, for me Hotel is a masterpiece too; my reflection was solely on the less "synthetic" and "compact" albums. Tori is clearly a great artist, there's no doubt about that—she has given the history of female singer-songwriter music some fundamentally important works in my opinion (the first four), and now she simply has less to say, even if she still says it with undeniable class. This is precisely why I don't understand the lengthiness of her latest albums, but maybe I'll change my mind after listening to this one. I'll wait... In the meantime...the photo with the chicken is really indecent!!!! :D

Thank you cptgaio... you’re great! So my fears were founded: it has surpassed twenty. 23 songs!!!!! Isn’t that a bit excessive? Shall we talk about it? It's true that we still don’t have the album in our hands, but, with all due respect, I doubt that the record can maintain the same (I hope high) levels of quality over 23 tracks... The only "long" album by Tori that isn’t redundant in my opinion is boys for pele; already scarlet walk was a bit too long (but very valid), and the beekeeper, well... there, half the songs would have sufficed. I don’t know in this particular case, but at least for the previous ones, perhaps she should have been a bit more selective... what do you think?

I miss them a lot, even though I'm catching up on their discography... but the review is excellent!

Thank you for the link, even though the info I found wasn't what I was looking for... I was curious to read the track list :( evidently I’ll have to wait a little longer! Bye, see you soon... and sorry if I posted the comment twice... I don't know how that could have happened...

Sorry if I dare to say so, but in my opinion, the track by track was totally avoidable :P... great review anyway, as always. Personally, this is the only album by Amos that I've never understood and (I believe) will never understand: it feels limp, "easy," cobbled together, the result of superficial and simplistic reflection that I never would have expected from my idol. Musically, it has never resonated with me much either, especially the second half (excluding Heart of Gold). Is it just me? Does anyone have any insights on her new work? Like how many tracks it will contain (considering her recent releases, I'm afraid this time it might exceed twenty...)

I love it!!! It has such a carefree approach...so different from the singer-songwriters I usually listen to!
