Best album of 2008 so far for me, go see them live, they are the apotheosis, the best Italian band and among the best in the world, I've never heard anything so powerful (I’m referring to bass and drums), truly impressive not so much for skill but for sounds that are nothing short of sublime. The best remains Snailking but this one is just one step below, if Snailking is a 10 this is a 9. Poor review, it’s not their best album, they are not from Tuscany but from Tortona and the comparison with Massive Attack is grotesque.

A somewhat bare review, but indeed this album is complete garbage, I totally agree, there's very little to discuss except for the disappointment after hearing it. Oh, for the record, in my opinion, Pike has messed up all the albums since the first HOF, except for that one, they’re all the same, boring, and have been heard a million times. Pike almost doesn’t exist for me anymore, a bit like Josh Homme who today doesn’t count for anything.

Oh right, I forgot, for me alongside Kyuss, the MM are a few steps below Sleep. And I confirm that the MM have now become the shame of stoner, they’ve burned all the good that’s in this album, which is their best.

Everything is absolutely beautiful except for the cover, which is unwatchable, truly of unimaginable ugliness, to the point that I haven't bought it new yet! I just can't do it, it's stronger than me :)

I also prefer the UFOs on their own; the Lento, on the other hand, quickly wear me out, except for 2 tracks that step outside their post-everything patterns. A forgettable album as far as I’m concerned, but what a pity—Down is truly beautiful!
