Queens of the Stone Age Era Vulgaris
Voto:
"QOTSA, the quintessential Stoner Band of the post-Kyuss era" <---- but let's not say nonsense, they are not stoner at all. Moreover, this album is a huge pile of crap, do not buy it, it's not worth even a listen. It's all keyboards and syrupy, unrecognizable vocals, super bland tracks, they're not themselves anymore. The QOTSA are dead and buried! PERIOD.

You might want to listen to Sunn O))) and Earth, for example; they really take you on a journey ;)

The journey is enjoyable, but there’s so much more beautiful stuff out there to give this album a 5. Just because Malleus is involved doesn’t mean everything is gold; I’m happy to buy Ufomammut, they’re an interesting proposal, but nothing special.

Here, 3.5 or else I'll come off as the bad guy. They're good, but not good enough to convince me to make the purchase.

This group really doesn't say anything to me, highly overrated, nothing compared to Ufomammut.

I’ve never understood those who are obsessed with vinyl. If you don’t have a 4000€ setup, you won’t get good sound quality, and every time you listen to it, that dear diamond stylus does its excellent job of wearing down the record. Not to mention the “warm sound” effect, which to me is just pure crackle due to the limitations of the medium, not something extra that you hear because it was recorded that way, which is lost in the CD. A lot of people really like that warm/crackly effect; I don’t like it at all, actually...
