Beautiful concert, and DuVall was amazing, he surprised me quite a bit, magnificent voice. I hope he can grow and be given more space because he truly has talent and you can hardly hear him on the record. Ultimately, a very fitting replacement. The least successful piece for me was A Looking In View due to technical problems, and generally, I would say that some of the new pieces felt less polished than the old ones, of course. They will definitely improve over time.

Yes, I agree psycho, a very classic work with nothing new but well executed, and that already suffices and pleases me. Also because otherwise we always end up in the usual cold and boring post-hardcore that tastes of nothing. Better classic than with post influences etc etc. It's already a good thing that it came out like this for me :) I really can't get into the TCV, I'm sorry, here the boredom is total, at least for me, and I also say unfortunately because I would have liked to hear something better than Era Vulgaris; instead, it seems to me to be much worse... the QOTSA are dead and after this, I'd say Homme is as well... or maybe the chic isn't for me :)

What a shitshow this TCV album is... I struggled to listen to it all the way through, half was enough. Never again, what a waste of time. I’m starting to hate Grohl; almost everything he touches turns to crap, just like his foot warriors, who are pathetic. Great album by Shrinebuilder, not very cohesive but definitely above average! Psycho, you’re more into pure pissi pissi, stoner-doom has never been your thing, get used to it ;) PS: Someone write a review of the latest YOB, The Great Cessation, it’s fantastic too!

The best movie of 2009 according to my standards, go to the cinema, it’s 100% art. It’s worth the cinema experience and even buying the DVD in a human leather edition. Maximum rating!

Great review, well done! I agree with Panico about the album—it’s right up there with my musical tastes ;) A solid 3.5, well-produced and above expectations. The new singer holds his own and fits well with the rest of the band. Great, heavy, hypnotic, and twisted tracks just like in the golden days—not as drugged out, but you can tell from a mile away that it’s them. The latest Pearl Jam album pales in comparison (though they've always been somewhat disappointing to them). As for the rest: the pretentious, pompous, communist wheelbarrow pusher isn't new to judging albums he hasn't heard; every review comes with his (pointless) comment just to sound important (?) and from the albums reviewed, it’s clear he has dreadful taste, yet he consistently shows up with his poor man's Santoro tone, commenting on and dismissing a ton of really great stuff. It's certain that those who know music don't pay any attention to your recommendations, and they’re very right not to. See you at Alcatraz in Milan, headbanging a bit with the new AIC, and if they deliver, I might just purchase this nice little disc, which I found pleasantly cute. Until next time!

I can't wait to hear it all, and if it's as good as I think, I'll buy it on the spot. In the meantime, I'm blasting the new Alice In Chains, which I don't mind at all; in fact, I find it quite nice, and the new singer isn't as bad as I thought even though he’s hardly noticeable, and I need to figure out whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing. The new OM is very beautiful, but I preferred Pilgrimage with that primitive Hakius.

But it's obvious that I agree; I don't share those methods, that's for sure, but you also know that I like to provoke :D

I hoped I wouldn't have to respond again, but I'm making an exception. @psycho: I'm not speaking from hearsay; I have a friend who taught philosophy in Caracas at an Italian school and had to leave due to the very democratic methods of Chavez, like if you wore just a t-shirt against his regime (let's call it communist) or even slightly pro-American, you would be stopped by his uniformed men and many others in plain clothes. Really a lovely country ;) Anyway, sure, the other 2 are much worse.

New Natas I haven't heard yet, but I will soon, even though I have to say they've started to tire me lately.. or maybe it's just me getting a bit fed up due to the few really innovative news in recent times. Can someone delete my post (unintentional) duplicate? Thanks ;)
