Throbbing Gristle Part Two: The Endless Not

A group at least twenty years ahead of its time, I still have to listen to this return, but I've already read two reviews that give it top marks, so...

The review is somewhat hasty; the album is very complex and needs multiple listens to be fully understood, it grows day by day. Although still more than sufficient, I don’t like the album due to the style of the compositions: almost hip hop vocals, highly elaborate rhythms, it feels like a meeting point between Aphex Twin and Front 242...

beautiful album, review a bit brief but well done

mmm....I had missed the one about the Backstreet Boys. In fact, if Rammstein are the Backstreet Boys of Metal, what are Limp Bizkit? Britney Spears????

Great review indeed. Anyway, it seems a bit exaggerated to define Rammstein as part of the Glam genre just for their shows; rather, their spectacular live performances are in line with the industrial tradition (see Nine Inch Nails or Ministry). I appreciate the note on the lyrics; I completely agree, although in my opinion, the lyrics of Mutter are also very beautiful and profound.

axlspark hang yourself, it’s better while you hear those subhuman invertebrates of Kiss, the random metal noise? but what did you hear, Throbbing Gristle instead of metal? (by the way, a historic non-music group...)

I'll explain to you the "impressive battery transition": a few hits on the snare and a couple of kicks with the double pedal (which is so fashionable among these crappy metalcore bands), tough, right?

I haven't listened to Vol. 3 in its entirety and probably never will; it may be quite similar to this album, but I was specifically talking about The March, and it doesn't seem to me that Slipknot makes fully synthesized songs that are two minutes long. As for the Sep, I admit I don't know those albums in depth...

And then... thrash/black the thrash bands with a satanic icon... okay, but since when did Sepultura have a satanic icon? But if Max, at the end of the thank-yous in the booklets of his albums, always thanks God?

1) In the first six or seven albums? But if this is the fifth? 2) More metalcore? To me, it seems much more death than the others. 3) What does The March have to do with Slipknot? It has much more in common with songs by Ministry than with songs by Slipknot. 4) You rightly mentioned the worst ones... but how can you not mention Carved Inside, perhaps the true masterpiece of the album? 5) I'm not giving my vote, it's better this way...
