Stone Temple Pilots Purple

Nice album, but they were really too derivative. The only ones to pull a spider out of the hole among the grunge "clones."

Great review. I really liked the album, although I expected a masterpiece given the premises. Nevertheless, it’s thoroughly enjoyable.

One of my absolute favorite albums, I grew up with this album... "we don't mind" is astonishingly tender. Well done!
Pixies Surfer Rosa

Mythical pixies, this album has the most piercing/intriguing guitar sound ever.

Ivan, no one thinks that American rock is superior just because it expresses themes of teenage angst. However, I believe that suffering leads to exploring one's dark side, and that this reflects in a more authentic and qualitatively superior artistic search. Of course, this is not exclusive to British bands: I love Nick Cave, for example. Similarly, not all lunatics are automatically great artists. In fact, there have been a tide of grunge clones that are simply annoying with their poses as great sufferers, like Bush, for instance. Specifically, in this album, or in those of Oasis, I didn't see any artistic substance, and I wrote that. That's all. Thank you.
