Ok Fidia, we got it wrong, we misunderstood our intentions. Nothing happened, the uppercase sentences weren't angry, they were meant to be clear. I'm not mad at you, far from it! I already apologized for my somewhat cynical statement, but I assure you it wasn’t superficiality that made me say it. I've seen few films on the subject of drugs and I wanted to emphasize that Trainspotting, while I consider it a fairly successful and original film with good performances (but I haven’t read the book, so if I had, my rating would probably be lower). I swear that at one point in the cinema, I wanted to leave; some scenes really affected me (especially the one with the dead girl). I wanted to highlight that the other (few) films about drug addiction didn't impact me as much as Trainspotting. Now I hope we’ve cleared things up. I apologize again, and from now on I will try to be less mean and cynical in my statements, in other words, less sarcastic. :-) Peace and love!

mmm Fidia, did you read my post? I said that I DON'T THINK IT'S ABOUT THE 3 ALLA RECE, I provoked you just like you did to me, sorry but your reaction to my comment was a bit exaggerated!! You get scandalized and angry over such little things? And what about the people who come here just to insult and cause chaos, doesn’t that make you mad? Just my silly joke that wasn't meant to be a provocation or an offense to anyone? I REPEAT: I DON'T THINK YOU ATTACKED ME BECAUSE OF THE VOTE. OK? CLEAR NOW? And now let’s stop with this childishness, peace & love.

Alright, fine, can you delete my first comment, the one with the incriminating phrase? Please editors, thank you? Fidia, can you read or do you just enjoy spinning things your way?

Well, I find it strange this acidic attack you have against me for a completely innocuous sentence. Moreover, I'm forced to publicly share my personal issues, telling you that I have a cousin and an ex-boyfriend who died from drugs—are you happy now? You have a low opinion of me, not the other way around, as can be seen from your comments. No, I don’t think it’s about the 3 on the review, at least I hope so. Bye, I really have to go now, and I hope there isn’t really the bitterness and resentment that I perceive clearly from your words, for such a small thing. Remember, you don’t know me; we don’t know each other here, so it’s better not to pass judgment on anyone's morality. I repeat, I’m cynical and I like to make nasty jokes, not at all because I’m insensitive, I assure you. Sorry if I offended you in any way. Bye.

Fidia, if you’re upset with me because I gave you a 3 in the review, you can say it. If, on the other hand, you’re offended by what I said here, I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to offend anyone's feelings. That's just how I am – cynical – and I regret having this flaw, but there’s nothing I can do about it. For me, the matter ends here. No hard feelings.

Yes, of course the phrase "they made you want to get high" is ironic, but that doesn't mean I think Trainspotting is the best drug movie. Don't get me wrong. I just said it made an impression on me when I saw it in the theater.

For me, having read Christiane F.'s book, the film is a 2. I'm sorry, but it's made really badly and there's not even the slightest part of what Christiane went through. The book is indeed a punch to the gut! But, anyway, de gustibus.........

If all the other drug films made you crave drugs, this film makes you lose the desire... a real punch in the stomach!
