I haven't heard the album and I'm not into jazz. My knowledge, which is rather superficial since I own few records, doesn't go beyond Parker, Monk, Gillespie, Holiday, and Gordon. But you think like a jazz musician, and I believe you’re mistaken. If you're looking for jazz luminaries, I don't think you'll find them here. And how is it possible that Grass, Don, Uxo, Saputello, Hulloder, Kookaboorra, Orwell, and the ediors are all a bunch of incompetents while you are the only competent one? Don't complain if people like The Publisher remind you that you always give out 2s and 3s for reasons that, frankly, we don't understand. And you get upset too if they give you a 3, from what I've seen. A little humility wouldn’t hurt now and then, Pippo; I'm telling you this for your own good and with no resentment or ill will from my side.

I agree that this is always lowbrow comedy, but allow me to say it’s a notch above Alvaro Vitali and Boldi and De Sica. You’re not snobbish, Poletti; it’s just that you have a very, very refined taste when it comes to cinema and forgive very few things. Keep talking about cinema, Poletti, and forget about music... :-)

Well, I found Da Grande delicate and well made all in all. Perhaps it's a genre I definitely prefer to the comedy of Il ragazzo di campagna. Which, by the way, I certainly don't consider ignoble like certain films, such as Vacanze a Vattelapesca and Natale a Casa del Diavolo.

Yes, I also find Pretazzo distinctly superior to Casino. At the cinema, some of my friends were disappointed and said that Casino seemed to them like a bad copy of Goodfellas. Perhaps they weren't entirely wrong. Even though I like Casino a lot.

Poletti, there's another very nice film by Pozzetto, namely Da Grande by Franco Amurri. It’s copied from Penny Marshall (BIG with Tom Hanks).

Yes, I agree, why does someone always come along to ruin the average for trivial reasons? The fact that they gave 4 stars doesn't take away from the fact that their review is very nice. And indeed, it is among the editors' choices and rightly so.
