I used to listen to Husker Du with an ex of mine; I like them. I don't know the others, but I appreciate them. Good night.

face it, but don't expect it to blow your mind on the first listen. it needs to be savored slowly because there's everything from gospel to reggae, pure punk to funk. you won't regret it. smackk

I take this opportunity to invite everyone who doesn't know it yet to listen to Sandinista! by The Clash. An album that is nothing short of amazing is an understatement. It's not perfect, but it comes close.

To make proper progressive music, you need to know how to play, even classical instruments, you need to understand classical music, you need to know many things that I doubt people like the Sex Pistols were aware of. I repeat: as in all musical genres, there is the mediocre, the terrible, and the excellent. The Clash, in my opinion, were the pinnacle of punk, the ones who played the best, hands down. But that's just my modest opinion.

Rough and popular doesn’t necessarily mean that punk sucks. God, how sensitive you little maskietti are!!! Punk isn't cultured, it's popular because it's understandable to everyone and representative of the anger of the lower class.

Kraftwerk were not disco music; they were more experimental electronic. If a genre I don't like makes me feel disgusted, I'll say it without shame. Rap and hip hop, for example, don't appeal to me, but I don't want to say they should be despised. I only despise commercial, mediocre music like Pausini, D'Alessio, etc. Allow me that!!!

It's logical, however, that music over time becomes mixed with more popular and rougher genres than progressive. Prog was music that was too cultured and difficult to create.

Hi Dave, it's said that you're the one who ruined Pink Floyd, is it true???? ;o)

Yes, festwca, your point of view is good. It's evident that grunge is inspired by punk. Just like the early U2 new wave, although clearly more soft.
