We’ve moved from the 77 to grunge for the sake of brevity. Unfortunately, I’m only mentioning famous bands, I know, I also know that there are remarkable bands from the 80s that no one paid attention to, but unfortunately my memory isn't what it used to be and I mention famous people to make myself understandable to everyone. Everyone knows U2, Husker Du a little less, if you allow me.

So tell us, which one is it!!! You keep rambling that we’re missing out on the best part, but if you want to keep it as your secret, don’t expect us to understand.

I would like to add, Donjunio, that the fact that 30 years ago you could find in the charts people like Emerson Lake and Palmer, Led Zeppelin, Genesis (Foxtrot was number one in Italy), Deep Purple, etc., and now you see Britney Spears speaks volumes about how rampant commercialization has indeed compromised everything good in modern music. Is anyone in the Italian charts seeing Fossati, Battiato, or De Gregori??? I don't know, I doubt it.

Alright, then you list your favorite bands since anything we say isn't good enough for you. If for you The Police and the early U2 were just trivial stuff, that's your problem.

oooh fuck but why why why, I can't possibly talk about two decades in 2 words??? I took grunge as an example... and that's it. Okay, there have been U2, The Police, okay??? Happy now??? And I'll stop here because this is a long, long story.

I agree, it's nonsense. Sorry, I didn’t take it personally, but I just wanted to reiterate my position to avoid misunderstandings. Stereotypes are extremely dangerous. So, I should be on LSD all day, snobby, and far-left since I listen to "certain" music.

donjunio what you say is right, but it wasn't us who invented the genres or labeled the music. get angry with the music critics, here no one is a music genius and no one claims to possess "the truth." grunge was a happy and creative chapter of the 90s, where we finally returned to substance, letting go of image. and personally, I never dreamed of saying that from '77 onwards there was only crap. I only said that the arrival of wild commercialization, the glorification of image, appearance at the expense of quality has compromised rock music, and I'm only talking about rock and all its hated genres and subgenres, not about all music. don’t get too upset, these are just common opinions from ordinary people passionate about music. if you want to read smart things go to ondarock where everyone is an expert, right?

Some tracks are precious, but this album is too monotone and repetitive overall.

an album that can barely be described as indecent. when I listened to it for the first time, I almost started crying, and not out of emotion. how can a band that has produced masterpieces like foxtrot or a trick of the tail sink so low for the sake of money? if I were Gabriel or Hackett, I would have sued them!!

I’ve never been able to stand these treatments. I don’t know.
