At the time, there were rumors that Paul had died and that he had been replaced by a lookalike who, miraculously, also had his voice apparently. It seems to me, but I could be mixing up songs, that it was said if you played the tape of Strawberry Fields Forever backwards you could hear John’s voice saying: Paul is dead.

Yes, the Elp certainly reminded me of them, and the Fusioon really sound good, there’s no doubt about it. I had mentioned it right away to davejongilmour in real time, so to speak... they arrived too late, just like you said.

ok Sylvian, I’m glad we understood each other. You’re a kind and measured person, and I realized you weren’t here to throw gratuitous shit on prog, no problem then and peace & love. Anyway, I would have bet my nonexistent balls (meaning yours, Dave :oD) on the presence of Michael Jackson in the ranking, and maybe Whitney Houston is there too, huh! But yeah, who cares. And then Rolling Stone is an American magazine, and the ranking was probably made exclusively by American industry insiders, maybe with a few exceptions just to appease poor, small Europe, so ignorant and clueless when it comes to music. Yeah, we all know the world starts in Los Angeles and ends in New York. They don’t even know what prog is; maybe that’s why not a single progressive album appears in this infamous list. A greeting to everyone.

Okay Sylvian, if you find these sterile rankings credible, that's your business. As for me, I don't consider myself the keeper of any truth; I simply express my opinion. The fact that not even one progressive album is among the top 500 is just very sad, and even sadder is that this list was compiled by so-called industry insiders. Great stuff! I'd rather have my own ideas, even if they're wrong, but they're mine, not from experts who conveniently let the major record labels believe whatever they want.
