Less romanticism, perhaps less heartfelt, but to define it as "one of the worst chapters of doom metal" is quite a leap. In particular, one can sense the different approach that will find its ultimate expression in the subsequent "...complete". That said, for me, "A kiss to remember" and "For my fallen angel" remain two of the most beautiful things written by MDB.

An album that is grave and extremely difficult to assimilate. Yet it's worth listening to: cold and heartfelt like few things have been composed. Probably still unripe compared to what the band will do in the future, perhaps not yet fully inspired but all the more meaningful for that. "I am the new Christ"...
