I'm finally diving into their discography and I must say that this first work was somewhat enjoyable, but it's nothing extraordinary. I find it too "fragmented" by countless instrumental pieces, often self-indulgent. A composition that reminded me of the adolescent whimpers of "Nightfall in Middle-Earth" by BG: all those instrumental bits really brought me down a bit, with the exception of the first one, "Music for the head." Aside from that, there are some really interesting tracks, "Nine cats" being the standout. 7/10

Nice review, I liked the album less. I found it too verbose in some parts, not convincing in others, but overall it does its job well, especially thanks to well-chosen compositional choices: see atmospheric background sounds, see the desire to write pieces of significant length while still remaining anchored to the typical characteristics of The Gathering from a few years back.
