Doh! In fact, Brady Corbet resembles him too! Damn, couldn't they have chosen a dark-haired one? :) I directly associated the Peter from the Austrian film with Pitt :S

I haven't seen the remake, but apparently, we should have expected the usual American approach: why give the role of Paul, the "mind," originally played by Arno Frisch, to Michael Pitt (the more famous actor of the two) when, based on a vague physical resemblance (blond, blue eyes, seemingly innocent look), he could have played the role of Peter?

I preferred to start from the original, and in this regard, I break a Fiat in favor of the reviewer: what is so scandalous about the definition <<a deafening hardcore music>>? It seemed to me that’s exactly what I heard (you can decide the genre, but it was definitely deafening). And it didn’t sound like a jazz piece at all... that it was by Naked City, he wasn’t required to specify, especially since he didn’t know. The name John Zorn appears clearly in the opening titles.

"The following day, however, I go to my friend the wannabe-youngster and ask him who these Tokio Hotel are. For goodness' sake, I know it's a terribly sad thing, but I believe that the only people who don't know them by now are probably cloistered nuns, or someone in Guantanamo. I assume you don't live in a convent and that you went to/will have been to Cuba for other reasons; so the fact that you don't know them seriously worries me... :)"

I love Kiss, and I appreciate the "candor" with which they admit that what they've been doing since the beginning of their career (so, mind you, not with the onset of old age) stems from artistically perhaps not very noble intentions, but absolutely genuine and devoid of hypocrisy: the ladies and the filthy lucre. Your review is very moving, and it really took a woman for me to express my very personal impression based on your writing: aesthetically speaking, I've always considered Kiss to be trash, not to mention their somewhat poor relationship with soap and running water. When I saw them made up, I took them for what they were, but in the '80s the visual impact was nothing short of traumatic: the disgust with which I looked at the back cover of Crazy Nights, with Paul Stanley in a Lucio Dalla version and Gene Simmons looking like he'd just robbed a leather shop, is still quite unmatched. Despite this, they boast an endless following of ladies ready for an hormonal upheaval at the slightest pelvic jolt from the Starchild (as you mentioned). All of this leaves me perplexed, but at the same time reinforces the infallible corollary about the magnetic power exerted by rock and success on women, far superior to that of a magnet with a piece of iron.

Poetry! After the sixth sense and the sixth fool (a glance on YouTube for the uninitiated), I would propose the sixth star ad hoc!

However, I stand firm on one point: when I eat, I don’t want distractions! And then sausages and beer make me think more of a sumptuous feast in the countryside; I can better imagine Gigione in the background (I admit, I’m biased) :D

Finally, I listened to it. I really liked it; only "Tracing Lines" and "Into The Blue" left me indifferent. My favorites are "We Are The People," "Itsumo," "Miss You," "Who's The Enemy," and "Heads Held High" (the latter reminds me a bit of "Snowden" by Doves in both melody and the atmosphere created by the keyboard). Bye!
