Except for just 3 pieces, including Scorpio Rising.

I also think the cover is very beautiful. Among the B-sides I prefer: High Rising, The Living Dead, Europe Is Our Playground, and Another No One.

"I think... it sounds to me"... these are the results when you comment after eating :S :D

@David81: I’m borrowing a term from you to specify that, in my opinion, the vocal ambiguity you mention in Coming Up sounds a bit artificial to me. Definitely more genuine, in my view, in the self-titled album, where among other things, Brett Anderson displayed other types of ambiguity as well. Songs like The Drowners and So Young, for instance, are "unequivocal." And the chemistry between that singing style and Bernard Butler's arrangements was exceptional. Perhaps Brett felt nostalgia for it in Coming Up, only to shake it off with a more masculine and mature vocal style in Head Music (just to engage in some vain philosophy on the subject :D)

I love Suede, but it's that metallic, hyper-produced voice that sometimes makes Brett Anderson almost unbearable on this album (for example, I prefer the version of "Trash" on "Singles"). So let’s give it a 3.5 rounded up to 4 for affection and respect.

@Backdoor Man: I put "unreleased" in quotation marks just to emphasize the fact that they weren't so in the true sense of the word; in any case, I feel inclined to support misterb's opinion. In my view, they are still beautiful songs, and it would have been a shame to leave them in the drawer due to a tragic circumstance. After all, recording studios work miracles, making a flock of sheep sound in tune; at least, let's hold on to the "resurrections (pseudo)unreleased" as our miracles.

Ignoring the a priori detractors, what’s so disgusting about this album? Was it not supposed to be produced only because it was posthumous? As far as I’m concerned, when it comes to an album of "unreleased" tracks, I see nothing strange about it. What’s far worse is the series of greatest hits collections that at times outnumber the albums of unreleased material.

You've caught me in a phase of acute nitpicking: I believe that the term "acoustic ballad" or "acoustic piece" is often incorrectly given an overly broad meaning, and therefore, in this case, inappropriate: Mother Love is not an acoustic ballad. The hearing is adjourned, I withdraw to deliberate :)
