I reiterate that the playful reference between Ken and Jesus was not just about healing abilities (although Ken has performed miracles, like restoring Lynn's speech and Aily's sight), as in this aspect Toki, with his proverbial peaceful nature and a perfect Jesus-style look, was at a clear advantage and perhaps even enjoyed more esteem among the people. Rather, Ken's healings complemented the charitable works alongside the tear-jerking redemptions of the wretched and the virtues of a good Samaritan. In this regard, how could one forget the legendary little canteen with which Ken would quench the thirst of all the elderly and children who could barely stand (just like Jesus did in "Ben Hur")! Hundreds of people must have drunk from it... It’s likely that the bacteria concentrated in Ken's canteen caused more victims than the nuclear holocaust. Just to stay on theme, may peace be upon you! :)

"Welcome to this crazy time kono ikareta jidai ni youkoso kimi wa tough boy tough boy tough boy tough boy." Be understanding, I must have been at most 8 years old; besides Queen, that was the peak of the rock I listened to :)

@Starshiptrooper: I agree. "Tough Boy" is one of the most beautiful and badass opening themes in cartoons for me. The Italian theme and "I Don't Like Love" also deserved recognition. I remember a somewhat poignant melody that accompanied the more dramatic scenes or the deaths of some good characters, but I’ve never been able to find it in the "soundtrack" (assuming it was ever released). I wonder if you might know it.

@Rooftrampler92: I would raise some doubts about the lyrics as well. Given the structure of a typical Ligabue song, it's not difficult to insert the classic catchy phrase that screams seasoned rocker and present it to the audience as a sacred truth. In this regard, I think Neri Marcorè's imitation, supported by Dandini, is brilliant. <<Mi si dia della gran carta>>, he would say, while Dandini took on the air of someone hanging on the words of the great poet, awaiting the new masterpiece that reliably turned out to be an unprecedented load of crap :)

It's stronger than me, Ligabue just can't move me. I can't really frame his songs beyond the dimension of casual listening on the radio, when all the other stations don’t seem to "catch" well. "Certe Notti" may be the classic stadium anthem, but I believe it’s one of the most overrated Italian songs in history; I've always seen it as the typical response to "Vita Spericolata," with all the clichés involved, of course. To avoid misunderstandings, I'm a weirdo and my opinion doesn’t count, because if what I say were true, it wouldn't explain the almost 200,000 people at Campovolo.

I admire that you have described an album you consider a masterpiece in just a few but effective lines, focusing both on the emotions it evoked in you and on the technical aspects, just enough to give a clear idea.

Indeed, the clash between Ken and Souther has an epic and poignant quality to it. I felt this sensation the last time I watched that episode. It seems that, on closer inspection, none of the "big bads" were truly villainous to the core. Paradoxically, the most ruthless were also the weakest, much like the leaders of the various armies of Raoul, Shin, and the gang. Another character that struck me was the robot Gled (or Glen), a lookalike of Terminator in the service of General David, redeemed by the great Ken after neutralizing his strength :) However, my absolute idol remains Juza of the clouds!

@Bartleboom: there’s no need for you to apologize. Although a deluge woke me up at 8 while I was sleeping with the balcony open, half-naked and without a sheet, at risk of catching a sudden pneumonia, I bring you peace :) The opposite opinion is legitimate, but in light of what you had written, I owed you an explanation, especially since I think there is mutual respect. I missed the review on Holly & Benji; I had drawn "inspiration" from the presence of Dragon Ball in the guts (a somewhat disgusting image, poor Goku). Based on what you tell me about it, and given my premises regarding the purposes of the review, I would say it was inevitable at this point not to dwell on those oddities and exaggerations that excited us so much as children. Happy Saturday, and may peace be with you! :)

I almost forgot a little relative (my 3-year-old cousin): I checked my original text, and "malapena" was spelled correctly. But I must say that the added "w," who knows how it got there, has given it a sporty touch that isn’t unwelcome. There you go, "malapenwa" sounds like a Nigerian player, or at best a twist reminiscent of Martufello :)
