Manic Street Preachers Journal For Plague Lovers

Wow! Unfortunately, I was on vacation and missed it. Anyway, I've already taken steps to punish myself. An unusual review, considering the total absence of references to the songs, but still beautiful and heartfelt. I too would be for Manics forever; otherwise, I’ll settle for this explosive ending, so it's better not to complain about the superfluous, you never know (Chris Cornell docet)... I don't quite agree with 47 on the fact that they can't write songs. I understand the "de gustibus," but considering that each of their albums has a different sound, I think that, even if you randomly pick songs, at least a couple of great tracks per album can definitely be found. I remain of the opinion that what has penalized them (especially with us) is the fact that they couldn't be placed in a specific genre. Britpop to a certain extent, since the first three have nothing to do with it at all. Coming out with "Everything Must Go" during the peak glory of Blur and Oasis only created even more confusion regarding this. However, apart from the events with Richey, I like them precisely for this reason: I was just starting out back then with "This Is My Truth..." and discovering that they had also made an album that reminded me of Guns'n'Roses surprised me positively (if only because the Guns, on the other hand, would never conceive an album like "This Is My Truth..."). It may have been youthful naivety, but it struck me. No matter what, I will always hold them in my heart. I’m done bothering you. Amen.

@Mike76: Exactly! As simple as it is, I just couldn't remember the name.

Ahahahah great comparison with the underwear! But I feel the need to break a smart (because they annoy me) in favor of the protagonist: should we blame nature if little Sam has successfully completed her development? :) Anyway, thanks to everyone. And for those who haven't seen the movie yet: feel free to abstain.

@LRS: I'm not sure it's what you're talking about, but I remember a game where one of the protagonists was like a kind of Hulk Hogan in civilian clothes (jeans and a t-shirt). At the end of each level, there was obviously the strongest and toughest enemy, and in one level in particular (a sort of red-light district, complete with street lamps and neon signs), there were some guys in leather suits, with a little mustache and a police cap, pretty harmless overall, except for their approach that resembled a dog in heat towards an unsuspecting pillow. I think that's it, but I don't remember the name of the game or other details.

Awesome! I felt like I had all the characters right in front of my eyes as you described them. How beautiful! I remember there were also two other twins (bad ones, though) quite skinny but they hit like hell. They probably fall under the "greens" (the level was at night, if I remember correctly). As a good sadist, the greatest satisfaction came when I managed to get the enemies sucked into the conveyor belt. What I would give to play it again... I'm moved!

I hope I haven't disturbed you. I over-conceptualize too much. Sometimes I even dynamize.

"Bancomat ogni matina" by Natale Galletta is now an evergreen!

Thank you all! @Casamorta: Exactly. His "Alla stanga" is another one of my favorite paintings. A piece that borders on almost photographic perfection. Beautiful in both content and execution. @Panapp: We're on the same wavelength, it seems!
