But you ThirdEye weren't you the one who said in the chat: "what a drag the latest Mastodon!"???... well... maybe I'm mistaken... I liked the review so-so... the rating would be 3.5 but I'll round up for sympathy... great album but I definitely prefer Leviathan... bye

in fistful of metal no... but from the next one they made their proposal very personal... mm... the Pantera are not from the same era and, although in their magnificent offering (from CFH onwards), I don't know how much they contributed to thrash... bah... well... hi Lethe... see you soon

I think that Anthrax were, among the various thrash pioneers, the ones most connected to a certain concept of punk-hardcore that made them somewhat less accepted within the scene... Then, not managing to be influenced by other local bands (the ones you mentioned are almost exclusively from the Bay Area and they are New Yorkers), they developed, in my opinion, a personality and originality (especially with Among the Living) that many Bay Area thrash groups didn't have... Of course, I don't believe they are the top representatives of the movement, but I think that back then they were on par with many... However, absolutely De (stra)Gustibus.

I quote the "commentator before me" (with the unpronounceable name)... saying that the black album is the masterpiece of Metallica is really not widely agreed upon... the review is good, full of passion, but I wouldn’t thank the band for the last albums (especially the horrendous St. Anger), but here I'll play the "de gustibus" card, I see and I move on... bye

Don't worry, Rebelde... it's not a masterpiece but it's quite pleasant to listen to... as Dreamwarior says, there's a lot going on and the influences are quite evident, but if I were you, I would give it a listen... it won't become your favorite album, but you won't regret it... recommended especially if you know the main players involved (Matos and Paeth) to understand that sometimes you can also change and succeed (albeit modestly)... emm... I'm not sure if I've reassured you, though... mm... oh well... :-P
