Savatage Poets And Madman

don’t be so touchy, Jim... historical mistakes and de gustibus are negligible... the review might be inaccurate and a bit clichéd, but it’s full of passion, and you can feel the emotional connection the reviewer has with this album... passion deserves to be rewarded because it's what keeps sites like debaser alive... maybe advice can be given without dishing out very low ratings like your 1s... I didn’t mean to be offensive, just to express my opinion... you always seem a bit defensive... :-P... well... peace and love... bye

second review in a row and this one is very nice too... a curiosity: actually Tempesta wasn't new to the group as he had been the drum technician for Hunting for a long time... the album isn’t really bad with unexpected ideas for an Exodus... it deserves praise nonetheless even though I agree with Francescobus regarding the "craftsmanship"... once again... well done

I nearly forgot to praise Morphine Child, which I consider one of the most beautiful songs by Savatage... However, the best remains Believe... bye

The good (?!?) Jim pointed out some lexical-grammatical errors that could have been avoided with a single re-reading, but he was too strict and stopped at the form, coming off as the usual know-it-all... the review isn't bad, there are some historical inaccuracies and some (legitimate) personal preferences that are not fully shared, but above all, the passionate component that comes through every word is clear and dominant... so, it could have been better, but you were still good and commendable... I consider the album one of the worst by Savatage (whom I adore), dull and a bit forced as you said, but it’s the product of the situation the band was in that year, and you couldn’t ask for more... good job and well done anyway... Ps: ARGGHGG I was getting it ready... :-)

many things to criticize about De (stra)Gustibus for a review that I don’t like, perhaps made by someone who only looks at the usual facade... the only thing I somewhat agree with is the value of the album…
