For me, "surfin' bird" is one of the three or four most annoying songs of all time. Sorry.

But what is this obsession with calling "for teenagers" the shitty records like those of the 883? For fuck's sake, I believe a teenager should listen to fierce, original, tense, thrilling music and laugh in the face of the squalor of all the Max Pezzali's in the world. What do they expect, that music should only be "understood" by old fogeys in velvet dressing gowns listening with headphones in front of the fireplace? For the love of God, how infuriating are these things. If a teenager listens to Pezzali, it means they are already dead inside, no doubt about it. And let me tell you, I was a teenager during the Great War...
