Wow, you caught Marley. I deduce that you're not a complete newbie. Thank you for the suggestion; I'll give these Aggrolites a try, although I have to admit I'm biased against Rancid: live, Armstrong was so out of it that he kept falling on the ground, amidst avalanches of deserved spits. I also like to explore (this morning in the Aipo, along with the honest Lambrettas, I was listening to medieval sacred music, the stuff written by von Bingen, a kind of mystic). The point is that I might have a problem with post- (rock, core, and the like). It's a bit like interrupted intercourse: you wait, the tension builds, you wait some more, more tension, building to a skin-tingling climax, almost there and then... nothing. The song ends. Of course, I'm generalizing, but it’s just to give an idea. Speaking of post, do you know Gatto Ciliegi? They're Italian, post-rock with great finesse, really excellent.

As always, great review Odra, but the post-post-post-post-post kind of shattered my little heart, and I think I won't even give these guys the slightest chance. After all this deconstruction, I’ve got the urge for proper songs again. Or for dancey drum-heavy tunes. Or Ethiopian fusion. Just so you know, riding the wave of skinhead-mod enthusiasm, I dusted off my Lambrettas, poor things. Kisses.

Marcos, I really don’t agree with you. In my opinion, it’s easier to find valid groups that address social issues (marginalization, poverty, etc. - just look at a large part of the roots reggae bands from the '70s) than it is to find strictly politicized groups like these Redskins. The Italian scene you mention is largely made up of musicians who "pretend to be engaged" to cover up the deep void of their inspiration. This includes 99% of the "posse" groups, the barricaders like Modena City Ramblers, the activists like Attacchi Frontali, and many more. For one - great - group like the Crass, there are ten thousand pieces of rubbish.

thank you for your attention. actually, it seemed to me that I had given a three or four as a rating, but this five appeared, evidently assigned by some skinhead editor... @ramona> superior to the jam, what can I say, it just came to me like that, I wouldn't bet my life on it... @fidia> do you agree with veltroni who wants to dedicate a street in rome to oriana? being on the same side as veltroni is not exactly... well, you get what I mean. kisses

songs to remember is one of those albums that I didn't like much, but in the end, I listened to it more often than others that I liked more. So much so that I even ended up buying the 12" of wood beez. I've always heard about a certain single by SP, perhaps their first, which should be called "skank bloc bologna" (?!?) and that is supposed to be deadly. However, I've never found it. Maybe I would have liked that one more than other records that I appreciate less but listen to more.
