C.S.I. Linea Gotica
Voto:
Since I want to reiterate my opinion, I'm copying and pasting from another review of "linea gotica" - for me, this album has always been half a flop... two or three stunning tracks (sogni e sintomi, linea gotica, and irata - spoiled, towards the end, by the voice of Ginevra Di Marco - is it her? I propose her as a backing vocalist for Sting...) and then? A grandiloquence reminiscent of the New Gospel ("la caaaasa, la chieeeesa!" and the pastries? and the grand prize? where is the incisiveness of CCCP); musically, there are some nice moments (the lines from cupe vampe, the opening of esco) and then nothing noteworthy (perhaps negatively - see the tacky sabbathism of millenni - bah!) Lastly, I have respect for what they attempt to dissect but, aside from the remarkable exceptions (which anyway justify the album), it’s a record that "doesn't resonate with me."

how nice it is to be in the car with the kiddos with turkish trying to catch connections in milan, how lovely zzzzz's house is and taking a shower like a drunk polish guy in his own home, how hot josi's ex-girlfriend is, how lucky to find the roky compilation after risking to lose it 16 times, how strange the feeling at the hostel - a splendid place that feels like a sanatorium for the mentally ill with those shared bathrooms like an atomic bomb shelter, how intellectual G is reading ken follett by the poolside, how lucky to find the goggles at home after lending them to donz for the de-olympics, what can I say about the easycure? dunno? anyway, easy plays the drums even when he talks, how great that vani smiles at you if you stare at her for more than 2 seconds. (do I have a ridiculous face?), what a great place the grotto is (thanks k!), what an ally frantz is in the battle against dairy, how wild the wasabi is (thx solo and mr.o), how tedious this long comment is to mention everyone, so: emily, hum, magomarcelo, taunus, forgive me, but I can’t take it anymore!

But zzzzzzzzz! To reveal the secret of your reader like that! Anyway, despite your honorable efforts, I get the impression that this record might not be to my liking...

It's always possible and desirable to use comments to enrich the debate... come on K! Share your thoughts on Jimbo... meanwhile, I'll say something, a trivial observation, but so be it... watching specials about the Doors, what has always struck me the most is the fact that Jim was described by witnesses as a very nice and somewhat cheeky person: seeing Morrison in this light has made me appreciate him much more; he was someone capable of saying (and doing) interesting things, but "playing" (as it probably was in his spirit) with his media image; seen in this light, the idea of the serious clown that can come from the usual, well-known phrases of a troubled soul from middle school has flipped, which I can now imagine being pronounced with a smile on Jimbo's face (just to throw out the last bullshit, consistent with what I've said, Oliver Stone's movie makes me sick...)

hi grasshopper, your reviews always seem very serious and timely, but prompted by k, I feel like reflecting on something... the way of reviewing is, let's say, somewhat "blow-up," or magazine-like: very descriptive, it’s a great method for helping those who have never listened to the album understand what it contains, but for those who know the tracks, it can be “a bit uninspiring”… let me explain: at the risk of being self-indulgent, the more "personal," perhaps "fluffy" comments can offer an original key to interpreting the work, something that makes me prefer de-baser over magazines when it comes to well-known works (as long as the "fluff" is of quality...); therefore, I dare to suggest that k’s criticism is linked to a sense of "missed opportunity," however... continues

Indeed, I believe I don't fully understand it... that's why I feel a bit "foreign" when I hear it; however, the interlude with the voices of the market is a moment of absolute beauty, breathtaking; the voice of the woman is capable of communicating and sending shivers down anyone's spine, what depth in that flash of reality.
