So... I'm also a semi-revaluator of 'Merdulla', that is: it’s an album where the details are often beautiful and the atmospheres really, tremendously exciting; the Icelandic Choir and the way it's used is truly fantastic! And yet... it would have been a perfect album without Bjork's voice! In my opinion, she's an artist too in love with herself: it's true, she invites incredibly talented artists to collaborate, but often she hides them behind her voice, which trills emphatically in a way that now sounds 'affected' to me and doesn't evoke emotions anymore; she could make her voice an instrument among others, instead she puts it front and center in an ineffective way, in my opinion, often ruining the pieces... this is my feeling.

To better convey the concept, I take for the umpteenth time 'born to run': like the aforementioned LPs, it is rock with an epic flair, but it lacks the dose of kitsch that I feel in the BJ (and the lyrics move me more...)

Yes, indeed, no one is 'completely' original; that does not mean that there aren't those who are more so and those who are less... that said, to reiterate my point, to my ears Bon Jovi (the ones from 'slippery...' and 'new jersey', as those are the ones I know 'in full') are pompous and tacky - de gustibus...
