for me, Waters' voice is very fitting (anyway, there are parts where he 'sings' that I don't mind), the problem is that the overall representation (voice included) - within many tracks of the album - seems 'hypertrophic' to me; I understand that he WANTED to be over the top, that's obvious, but, at least for me, it doesn't convey WITH STRENGTH the discomfort, alienation, and daze that it aims to express...

Conclusion: an album that is half splendid, half rubbish (more or less)... which doesn’t mean, by senseless arithmetic average, a mediocre album... Waters’ grandiloquence has kept me away from it for years; what’s the solution?
