Well, dear NO, I don’t doubt that the truth may differ from the 'official version' of the time; however, Kurt had shot himself up with an overdose cocktail a few weeks earlier... whether he really committed suicide or not, what remains is the sense of deep unease that his story and, primarily, his art communicate: I’m flipping the pizza a bit, somewhat provocatively, and I ask you how you can be so sure that he did NOT kill himself, how you can absolutely trust the information from the source you cite; I conclude with the consideration that it is often hard to accept that a person might take their own life simply due to 'existential suffering' (Hemingway, Pavese, etc.) - and while Cobain could very well have been the victim of a conspiracy, the news of the suicide (even if it had been a hoax) made many understand that Cobain was REALLY expressing an abyssal distress...

Got it, got it... in fact, as I awkwardly implied somewhere in these comments, from a 'conceptual' point of view I have respect for Dylan live and perhaps I haven't fully understood its intentions (the ambiguous 'I didn't get it'...); as for the rest, I'm not looking for a mirror-like re-presentation of the album in live performances, of course... I don't hate live shows, by the way, I actually enjoy them as a social event, it's just that I often find them musically inferior (and in any case, the clear division between the music and the 'feeling' of the live performance is quite artificial, I realize...). No problem at all, not at all, cheers again.

Eh, maybe Aeneas, maybe... legendary figures like him will never be born again... Rfscr 'Ngwr, if you can hear us, give us a sign like only you knew how to do...

So what can we say about Rfscr 'Ngwr, the first Australopithecus who first struck a bone on a log with communicative-musical intent? The greatest of all time?

What is the serious shortcoming? That I don't like most live performances? Well, tastes... for me, many live shows feel ā€œarronzatiā€ (not all), both in terms of the richness of the original songs rendered with frequent poor synthesis (the subtleties of the album can't be captured, but often the synthesis is done poorly), and in terms of sound quality... and it's obvious that Dylan's songs are always different ;) (no version of a song, strictly speaking and thinking a bit philosophically, is the same as another, a statement valid for Dylan as for anyone...): the point is that, for my tastes, they resemble each other a lot and without being transcendently beautiful (in these forms)... impressions, nothing more, regards!

Damn, it feels like a high school student assembly, you can’t make sense of anything despite the (noble and not noble) best intentions!

I don't know, Josi, what to tell you; we would need someone who knows more than we do ;) as far as I know, every scientific law carries the implicit assertion 'until proven otherwise', but THIS statement of mine could easily be OBJECTIVELY ;) the biggest nonsense in the history of internet comments... @caz: yes, I'm having fun too... mmm if I'm completely off track, I'm practically in St. Peter's pissing (please don't take offense)... this page has turned into a festival of nonsense ;D

In short, I wouldn’t want to come across as the kind of person who thinks every critical reasoning is senseless, you know... I’m just saying it has a 'relative' validity; that one can establish a WIDELY shared basis is clear: the vast majority of people agree in judging murder a crime, for example, and this consideration thus holds significant value...

scientific relativism: 'if you don't drink, you die' - a truth shared UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE, meaning if one day a guy shows up who doesn't drink and yet doesn't die, the truth is proven invalid, relative

But look, I’m with you, damn it, on the fact that there are no 'absolute truths' but always 'relative truths' to 'axioms' accepted as valid, like: 'linguistic innovation is the most important quality in music'; a statement that can’t be universally agreed upon. If you do agree, you can build a 'logical structure' on it like art criticism (but maybe I’m just spouting a load of crap ;DDD)
