Well, just about the issue of eating your own music... many don’t do it, but still make music: I remember seeing Unsane (an American noise band, not exactly unknown back then), I recall the interviews from that time and the drummer, Vinnie Signorelli, stated that he had a double job; besides touring, when he was in the States, he worked in a tattoo studio... well, many independent artists do just that.

Mister Sfascia, I didn't think you were inclined towards such romanticisms... well, I quite liked the album, even though (as short as it is...) it sometimes goes off the rails: however, the title track is bacharachianly beautiful, always.

mmm... in my opinion, the fact that the artist has the final say (whether it's Zucchero or the Negramaro) is debatable: I don’t know, you don’t know, it simply isn’t known... it could very well be that the record label has more say, as they invest a lot in the aforementioned artists and perhaps dictate specific strategies... the fact that the arrangements of Zucchero and the Negramaro differ seems clear to me; they are products aimed at different targets, the music is different... regards

Ah, Zion, you shouldn't have done it! The one and only masterpiece of Tricky... no, I’m one of those who consider Nearly God the absolute peak of this guy with an unmatched face and charm (I remember an interview with the alternative guy from MTV, before brandnew came out in Italian: his cavernous, asthmatic voice and the way he looked were terrifying; he seemed like evil incarnate... even live, he has a unique presence, someone who can turn around for an entire piece, the end, smoking a joint and punching the air behind him without doing anything else and without looking ridiculous, quite the opposite... - another strange sensation at that live show, usually when I look around and see people moving to the rhythm of the music at a concert, I always catch a certain dose of ridiculousness; not in that case, people were dancing and seemed completely 'into' that dark mood, all deeply immersed in a reversed ritual... spine-chilling)

mmm... Mark Linkous? no, thanks... Black Heart Procession with that bearded-guy-who-sucks? no, thanks... Mùm? never really listened to them... I mean: I don't think they're my cup of tea, at most, in a musical-drought crisis, I might check out some tracks streaming just to ease my conscience. Oh, it's not revenge, eh :P ........ well, the cover is very, very nice, I’ll give them that.

the keyboardist has beautiful hair, that's true... almost as much as the cellist... live they are very good, even if the singer has an attitude, but he's good; at the time of the live show I saw I wanted to buy something, then Frantz distracted me with this story about the cellist (whom we actually met...)
