The review is top-notch. I have the album, but aside from "Take a bow," "Human nature," and "Secret," I don't remember it. I'll give it a listen.

Yes, I agree, stoopid (a nickname that doesn't suit you much :-) ), I was reflecting on this this morning, and I'll tell you that politics isn't very helpful: people, the middle class, want tangible results and immediate answers; they are not willing to wait and work on long-term programs. And parties, because it's the vote that matters, satisfy them. Bye.

That Naples has musically sunk is beyond doubt. I agree with stoopid on points c) and d). As for point a), I think we need to finally settle the issue: when a Neapolitan says he is afraid, he does not mean he is afraid to walk down the street because there are people killing each other at every corner, and everyone is ready to slit your throat for a thousand liras, and so on; in short, we are not the Wild West. I am afraid, and I feel a knot in my throat because you can feel the control of the camorra, it's in the air, tentacling everything, making you feel powerless. As for point b), the fact that in Pordenone people fight over much less — while on one hand it's an excess, on the other it's a sign of civilization: I agree that it’s not worth stabbing someone for precedence, but damn, for us, the murdered in the news no longer have any effect! We don’t get angry about anything anymore! Bye P.s.: well done primiballi, discussions like these can only do good.

Thanks again for the compliments. @vellutogrigio: according to Senese, "Nero a metà" is dedicated to Mario Musella; the gentleman in question was an outstanding singer of the Showmen, Senese's first band, and like James Senese, he was a child of war. The friendship between Senese and Musella, as well as the Showmen adventure, ended due to disagreements between the two. Musella would die from liver poisoning. I like something by Zucchero, but I find Daniele (the first Pino Daniele) far superior to Fornaciari. Then again, to each their own. Bye :-)

@pippo Believe it or not, Senese recently went to Domenica In, if I'm not mistaken: last year, the national Baudo was hosting that challenge between conservatory kids, and in the episode dedicated to the saxophone, there he was, James; anyway, maybe they should invite him to promote his records... @antoniodeste: lucky you for having seen Pino back in those days, I happened to see him after the release of "Passi d'autore"... and I've said it all... @Nick thank you so much for the compliments, I’m from Giugliano (NA); those verses are undoubtedly impactful. Bye

@antoniodeste no, unfortunately. I heard what I believe to be Senese's latest work, the one attached with his biography "Je sto cca". By the way, clear up a curiosity for me (for us): what did you think about things like "campagna" up north? And what about Daniele and, in general, the Neapolitan power? Bye

Indeed, when I read that "Campagna" was a hit across Italy, I was (positively) surprised. I also recommend Gomorra by Saviano. Bye

@zaireeka: "What can I say, it’s as if RAI decided to air Corrado Augias or Report on Saturday night prime time on RAI1..." Maybe, zaireeka, maybe! Yes, Pino Daniele was part of it, but he isn't credited on any of the four albums, as he only played bass with them in some live performances. @antoniodeste: I understand you, I won't deny that I also prefer short reviews (after an initial period in which I produced elephantine monsters), however I made the conscious choice to seize the opportunity of a review to talk about contemporary issues; in short, the review was a pretext to talk about Naples, and talking about Naples was a pretext to talk about Napoli Centrale. Bye.

Thanks everyone for the compliments :-) @zaireeka: why courage? Anyway, Pinuccio was not far behind: he'll play as a bassist (only live) with Napoli Centrale and will open some concerts, then Senese will collaborate on Daniele's albums; @mopaga: hehe, just think that a couple of my friends might find themselves in the section reserved for Juventus fans... @nevskji: priceless episode :-))) Bye.
