I totally agree. Useless album, and the subsequent "Suspended Animation" is even worse. This is not avant-garde; it's an indefinable thing with no purpose that leads nowhere.

The tones are a bit exaggerated at times; for an album like this, I wouldn't speak of an "inner journey" (we're not talking about a Neurosis album here, this is pure deathcore), nor would I talk about an evolution of music. Come on, comparing Van Gogh to these guys is a bit risky, don't you think? The CD isn't bad, "Entombment of a Machine" is very nice and remains one of their best tracks, but honestly, all this deathcore, brutal/grind, and mathcore is driving me crazy. Am I getting old? Booooooooh :D

Rece too bare, but I agree with the rating. Quite a disappointing album that leaves nothing for the listener. I'm not really crazy about Focus, although I respect them, but this is just subpar.
