Gojira The Way Of All Flesh

For me, album of the year.
Sonic Youth Daydream Nation

Magnificent album, Candle above all.
Neurosis A Sun That Never Sets

In fact, Blackdog has nothing to do with it at all. Moreover, qualitatively speaking, I find it quite pointless to sit here and compare "who is superior to whom, etc." Now, I haven't listened to everything by Fugazi or even Neurosis & Jesus Lizard, but we're talking about three pillars from different scenes. When it comes to saints, it's pointless to make comparisons between them because they are saints and remain so.

But in the end of all this discussion, the question remains the same: what do Neurosis have to do with Jesus Lizard and Fugazi? Mostly just some influence, but otherwise they are two well-defined genres. I still believe that Neurosis are Sludge Metal (experimental as you like, but the starting territory for me is that, apart from A Sun.. and The Eye... which are almost more post-rock than anything else), I would define Fugazi and Jesus as noise-rock and cut to the chase. Too many labels and definitions, in the end you can't understand a thing :D Anyway, Anna Tatangelo up your ass :)))
Bring Me The Horizon Count Your Blessings

But how can you guys like Bring Me The Horizon?? They're just another cookie-cutter metalcore band that plagues the metal scene, with looks of pathetic emo kids that only allow them to score as much action as possible during concerts. All their riffs are the same—not only among themselves but identical to those of a ton and a half of other shitty metalcore bands out there. If you've heard one, you've heard them all. I repeat: how can you guys like them? Can't you listen to some real music instead of this plastic, pre-packaged crap?

Hold on, Neurosis ARE metal; whether they are traditional metal is another story, but the fundamental base of their sound is primarily Sludge Metal (which is a variant of Doom). Personally, I have distanced myself from this type of sound because it doesn't resonate with me (especially at this time). Anyway, I lean towards the latest period of Earth (I don't like 2), while I find Sunn O))) literally pathetic.

Great musicians, but really too heavy for my tastes...
Chaos Among Nameless Ep 2008

You are wonderful too :*
Slayer Hell Awaits
Voto:
Great album, STUNNING TITLE TRACK, but the others are inferior. The best remains the Altissimo Purissimo Levissimo REIGN IN BLOOD.
Fantômas Suspended Animation
Voto:
Pity the disc. The Fantômas really make me sick.
