I still remember when I listened to one of his albums (he had just started his solo career) and I found it truly awful. It's a shame because The Runaways were an interesting project, although I've noticed that every time a hard rock band has a female vocalist, what comes out is anything but hard rock. However, very interesting things do emerge, from the jazzy atmospheres of Budgie to the sentimental folk ballads of Heart and the angry garage sound of The Runaways and then Girlschool... In any case, I also listened to the duet with Ozzy Osbourne; it was too sappy, I didn't like that either.
Captain Beefheart Unconditionally Guaranteed

This is really the ugliest and most useless album of the captain's, along with "Moonbeams And Bluejeans." Clear Spot is mediocre too, although better than these two. Fortunately, he then made a great comeback with Shiny Beast!

To me, Mason's singing in "Do Ya" really reminds me a lot of Wyatt's Rock Bottom.

Chilling soundtrack, of universal beauty.

Together with Waters, the best solo artist to emerge from Pink Floyd. Profiles is also exceptional.

Beautiful album, pure energy. I would like to mind my own business, but I can’t understand why some people rate this album poorly if they don’t appreciate the genre. If I don’t like something, I treat it with respect and simply don’t listen to it. I completely agree with Igor84 about everything, except for Uriah Heep. I find them to be the least original within progressive rock: their music is mediocre, late to the game, and full of all the clichés of the genre.

Many people have spoken well of it, I will check it out. As for m.polleti's comment, I agree.
Peter Jefferies Substatic

I consider this album an absolute masterpiece... Did you know that from the ashes of this band, three other great bands were born? All led by Peter's brother, namely Graeme Jefferies (who after his brother's departure from the band also released a great solo work)? The three projects are: Breathing Cage, Sombretones, and especially Cakekitchen, of which I recommend you get "World Of Sand," truly a gem.
