Warehouse never really did it for me either; after Zen Arcade, I put Metal Circus and Flip Your Wig, which has unforgettable songs like Green Eyes, Flexible Flyer, Every Everything, or Find Me.

my favorite Neil albums are On the Beach and Tonight's the Night, followed by Sleeps With Angels, Rust Never Sleeps, After the Gold Rush, and the live Weld. In short, apart from the 80s and the last 10 years of Neil, I like everything.

You see Rainer, I believe that today's social issues were perfectly depicted back in the 70s. For example, do you know the films of Marco Ferreri? He was a visionary, and I think someone like him literally anticipated the future with his analyses of society... what remains today if one wants to make films about social issues without being repetitive? Very little. And if emerging directors lack the brilliant madness that characterized the filmmakers of the past, it becomes even harder to say something new. The historical Italian directors had a quality; they were visionaries. Today, I only see fictional directors, and when they do cinema, they are too busy trying to provide a social reason behind every event, every act and action, thereby losing spontaneity and giving up on the dreamlike element. This is precisely what cinema, in my opinion, doesn't need if it wants to rise again. However, people are more and more accustomed to seeing Italian cinema structured like a television drama. But I am not pessimistic, and I always hope that some young director will emerge. For example, I really like Sorrentino among the new ones; of course, I don't place him at the levels of the greats of the past like Fellini, Scola, Visconti, Pasolini, Germi, etc., but I find his journey interesting. Regarding the fact that empty seats in cinemas do not help the situation, I agree with you. I still go, albeit less than I did in the 90s.

The fact is that interesting films in theaters are becoming fewer and fewer, and as for Italian cinema, let's not even get started... comparing it to that of the 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s is sheer madness.

This first of May has only served as a pretext for the Vatican to label everyone a terrorist, both presenters and audience alike. It’s now evident that within the Vatican there are subversive factions seeking to seize power in Italy.
