I managed to retrieve the end of message 48:
I expressed an opinion, hoping, I confess, to convince someone. Not to feel like a music genius, but because I see it as tough for someone who really wants to do innovative things in this environment! I think things need to change; it would be better for both listeners and musicians. The best way is to refuse to give credit to certain music, in my opinion. If you were already an independent thinker at 14, that's commendable; I was just a normal teenager, and I did experience some influence of that kind. This obviously doesn't exclude the possibility that as I matured, I became more objective and independent than you did, so calm down. Regarding your musical superiority, what can I say? Okay, maybe you’re right, but since we can’t challenge each other on "who knows more" given that with Google we're all omnipotent, I’d say we drop such discussions (I fear I’ve fallen into the same trap before, in the heat of expressing myself). So no more of that (and no more insults either, because the same rule applies: what’s the point of insulting someone who can't hit you materially? What do you prove? Online, we’re all good at insulting because there are no consequences! So let’s also avoid nonsense like the "sister" thing).
As for the fact that I still need to grow, I certainly hope so! But what I said about metal, the record market, and this album is my conviction; I even took the trouble to justify it, and how can we say if things will change over time? It might, but it might not. Maybe you’ll change your mind.
To Lethe: "When I was 8, I wrote for piano; maybe it was nonsense just for fun, but who can say? Relatives were applauding." And did you think you wouldn't respond like that! I’m sorry, but what nonsense! If I play a piece on the guitar, and every time people say "nice piece, whose is it?", it’s clear that they like it! They aren’t complimenting me! Especially if after I say "it’s mine", they respond "yeah, whatever!". Anyway, yes, they were nonsense by my current standards, but I never claimed they were genius! I was asked if I wrote songs at 14, and I said yes. I didn’t say my lyrics were "metal", but it's true that many were stereotyped. Plus, I've never been particularly good with words; however, many others were more than decent for a rock song in English. Anyway, I never tackled the themes you mentioned (I already found them quite ridiculous back then). In any case, I was 14! What do you expect! I never claimed to be a genius! The stuff I’m working on now will be liked; I just need to find people to record it. But the most important thing is that I’ve made an effort to come up with new ideas (but really new!). Unfortunately, I’ve only found one truly new idea, but at least the sound is quite contemporary. I join in the "long live the festival of clichés", only you put those words in my mouth; I never said anything you attributed to me!
