Ehm... the best bands of the last 10 years? What do you think about Bluvertigo, Muse, Tool, Marilyn Manson, Korn, System Of A Down, Blur, Prodigy, Porcupine Tree...? Among those I've mentioned, there are also bands that I don't particularly love, but, beyond my personal tastes, these are all key bands from the last 10 years, definitely more so than Oasis and Verve. Let's not forget those bands that, while a bit older, continue to make music even now with a decidedly modern language (Dream Theater, Nine Inch Nails, etc).
PS: By "key bands," I am strictly referring to the more commercial scene; often the most interesting and innovative bands remain in the shadows but silently influence an entire era.

This site interests me, if only for the matter of "similar" groups, "disciples," or "inspirers." In the meantime, I'm taking in this tip that could turn out to be very useful.

For Vallespluga etc., but are you sure? I mean, I followed your reasoning, and it's certainly understandable, but you're telling me that in your opinion there have been many more musicians in the last 10 years than in all the previous decades! Basically, in the '90s, for example, there were more bands than in the '60s, '70s, and '80s? I don't know, I get what you're saying, but I can't convince myself of it. It would be nice to have some actual data to check, but I wouldn't know where to get it.

Doesn't he want to take advantage of his name? But who the hell is Placido?

Killgod, the lyrics are very rough (but in this case, they fit perfectly with the music and the themes addressed, so it’s all good!) and the music is very interesting. The previous albums are better, but I don’t think this one is bad at all. I imagine you prefer the Vasco Rossi who, at the end of Fegato Spappolato, sings God Save The Queen, or the one who sings "ma quale rivoluzione e rivoluzione!". Or do you just hate it all together! What can I say? Unfortunately, personal taste plays a big role here (yes, I know it always does, but especially in this case), but if you want an objective element to reflect on, I can tell you that there are some interesting guitar pieces here in terms of playing technique and effects. Nothing particularly original, though! But it’s all damn well done! I think this album deserves at least a 3. I’m not voting because I haven’t listened to it in a while and I don’t have it on hand. But it's a good album, come on!

For vallespluga is my co-pilot, the fact that it’s now easier to register might have significantly lowered the level of music, as it is accessible even to people without any preparation (or at least it is more than before). By removing the incapable groups of adolescents or sexy dolls, we return to the same number as in previous decades, and my statistics are confirmed. Keep in mind that starting from the '80s, the music business has become much more suffocating than in previous decades; there are many more manufactured bands aimed at selling compared to the '70s, and these contribute to the numbers! I don’t deny, of course, that this phenomenon has always existed, but it has increased significantly. So I think that in the end, there are not more real bands than there were before.

Look, don't hit me, but I'm not a big fan of King Crimson. I have all their albums, but I prefer Emerson, Lake & Palmer, for example.

Serious bands don't just pop up like mushrooms! There aren't many of them, let's not kid ourselves. But I'm not saying that in the past there were more serious bands! It's just that when we talk about recent bands, we're referring to the last 2-4-10 years (depending on each person's sense of time), right? Now, if we say that recent bands are those from the last 10 years, it's obvious that those from the past are more, because they are spread over a longer period of time. So it's pretty clear that it's easier to find decent bands among those from the past; there are more of them! This is statistics! Therefore, it's not about viewing the past decades as a golden age, but simply noting that if you're looking for decent music, it's easier to find it among older bands. This doesn't take away from the fact that great music can still be found now! Recently, I've discovered quite a bit! That said, I want to say that indeed, compared to certain periods in the past, modern music has less to offer, MARK MY WORDS! I said "compared to certain periods in the past"! Not absolutely! No one will convince me that the current music scene is more creative than that of the late '60s and early '70s. But, I repeat, it’s true that there is great music now too! And the difference between the two periods is not that immense!

No, I reviewed the first of the Pink Floyd. The fact is that, in my opinion, the other reviews didn’t capture the idea well! Anyway, it won't happen again!
