Awful cover (but is it real?)

Well, I agree with the definition musician = someone who plays. Then we could debate for years about which musician is good and which is not and why, but I like that definition!

I don't hear them for that reason, but I have a feeling they won't be a revelation! What should I do? Pretend that I don't have this feeling? Appreciate my honesty! I'll listen to them and we'll talk about it again, thanks for the tip! For now, I'll suspend any judgment on Faust, but I want to reiterate my esteem for Vai. See you soon!

Faust Tapes is the lesser? Recommend me two more; I want to listen to them! But I'm almost sure I won't find anything particularly exciting. Anyway, I want to make it clear that I said they are overrated, not that I don't like them.

I don't speak before I've listened; I've only pointed out that what I've heard isn't great, but I've left open the possibility that there may be other works where they were remarkable. However, I do have some experience with these things, and Faust tapes makes me think that very likely the rest isn't really anything special. Pino Daniele is a genius. If you’re being ironic about his figure, it means that:
1- you have never listened to the first three albums, you only know the crap he’s done lately
2- you are crude and cannot understand. In this case, I will stop responding to you.

I think Faust are a bit overrated, but I only have one album (The Faust Tapes), so maybe it's not enough to have a proper opinion about them.

Cage actually manages a bit better; some criticisms I made about Neumann cannot be directed at him.

This comment was written against Andrea Neumann, but it could also roughly apply to contest Cage's "music."

In my opinion, great musicians are those who manage to embrace all new techniques without losing control. You can create experimental music that isn’t awful (just look at the early albums of Battiato!) but very few have succeeded so far! Those idea-less intellectuals disguise themselves behind technology and provocation in hopes of appearing profound and original (but what is so original about it! This stuff has been around for over 40 years!). If you want to listen to cutting-edge music that doesn’t abandon melody, I suggest you go see a concert by guitarist Giuliano Balestra (modern techniques rooted in a classical sensitivity!) or get your hands on "Fetus," "Pollution," or "Sulle corde di Aries" by Franco Battiato. Also, John Zorn in his best moments isn’t bad (in his worst moments, he’s as terrible as Andrea Neumann). I’d also like to point out "The Yellow Shark" by Frank Zappa. For me, music should be potentially enjoyable for anyone, not just for those who like to hear the sound of a washing machine.

No! Now I want to know more about cinematographic technique!
